He thought Stay Young and IHITIK were too poppy but 15 years later he released You Know We Can't Go Back.

Noel really did need someone to give him a smack and show him he had the tracklist all wrong.
My biggest criticism of BHN is the abrasive production, but with a better selection of the tracks they already had, BHN would have topped MG.

I like Stay young quite a lot, but I would've liked it quite a lot more if only they had played a F#m instead of a F# for the second chord of the chorus.

The bhn besides were half decent whatever tracklist you chose. I hope when NG resumes his rethink, wishful thinking. He gives the besides the treatment too

It always was a poppy tune I guess. Maybe it's the tempo. Bit like she's electric. Maybe too cliché with the lyrics I mean very cheesy. But I love how uplifting they are in a way.
They're making me feel so ashamed Making me taking the blame Making me cold in the night Making me question my heart and my soul And I think that it's not quite right
Noel at his peak there and not even trying 👍

He gives the besides the treatment too I don't think that all of the Be Here Now b.sides were half decent as I've always loved (I Got) The Fever and My Sister Lover. As for Stay Young it's not a bad song I don't think but it's nowhere near as good as it's Aside.

DYWIM seemed to have halted people and had them jump off in a "Fuck these arrogant clowns" sort of way. Can’t agree with that. That song was a huge moment, was received very well, and perhaps was the last time Oasis grabbed the zeitgeist. It only turned later that year sometime after the album came out.

Yeah, I agree with you. D' You Know What I Mean is a monster of a tune and certainly the best song on Be Here Now.
