Leeds United’s caretaker manager Eddie Gray urged his players to build on a 2-1 win at Blackburn Rovers that boosted his side’s hopes of avoiding relegation.
Goals from Steve Caldwell and Mark Viduka gave the Whites a crucial victory and dragged them level on points with both Rovers and Portsmouth.
Gray said afterwards: “I've said in the past that the home form is vital for us, but wherever we go we have to try to pick points up away from home.
“This gives us an opportunity now. We've got games at home and we should make Elland Road a fortress from now on.
“That's what we have to do. We have to win our home games.
“All the boys worked extremely hard. This game has gone now though and we have to start focusing on Tuesday's home clash with Everton.”<br> nationwide.co.uk
