Holy mountain still at #22 on itunes singles... So perhaps... It could be a top 20 with the vinyl release? 😮 And streaming. Thats the key these days. Look at the top 10 in the charts. They don't even release songs like that in physical format. They just amass massive stream numbers. Probably get on key playlists. Its all about the playlists on Spotify.

This week positions: Friday: 57 Saturday: 93 Sunday: 133 Monday: 121 Probably Top 40 at the end of the week, but i´m not sure. For what it´s worth positions in its higher week were: 41,47,47,47,49,52,62. It was around top 20 on itunes that week too, and it charted at #33. Vinyl release can push up sales a bit (maybe around 4k)

That counts the most. Not sure how many streams equal 1 download of a song. 150 streams equals 1 sale Last week in Uk Streams accounted for 92.70% of total sales. And paid-for-sales accounted for only 7.30% of total sales... Yesss, singles market is completely dead! Edit: Albums market is dead too! Edit 2: I´ve just found a website with daily uk sales on itunes. Hm sold 595 copies in the last 24 hours...and Dead in the Water 78. With just 71 copies you´re on top 100!haha, that´s ridiculous

I feel like WBTM will almost certainly surpass Chasing Yesterday on the Billboard 200. That's not necessarily saying much, however. I could see it being in the mid-low 20s.

So 3 days of sale are enough to make WBTM the third biggest selling vinyl in England...quite sad innit?

Noel seems to have stepped up promo in the uk a few interviews on tv and radio as the week goes on Yeah, we may have underestimated the method to his madness. We were comparing him with Liam's marketing effort, but it's really two different approaches. Liam was coming back from a long layoff and two tepidly-received albums, so he needed to make a big swaggering entrance, which he accomplished beautifully. Noel had more critical and commercial success with his own solo records, so he could afford to wait closer to release and then turn up the heat. These boys know what they're doing.

Ultimately if your comparing to Liam he picked up a new set of fans and many do not like the new direction Noel has taken.
