Promotion is a wonderful thing. At this point, I honestly don't know what numbers people expect. When the artist who released their song hasn't been heard from since the song was released, how well does any one expect said single to do? Also, as a reference, ITHOTM has been released for 2 years, and only has 2 mill. views. Everytime I think I might be on to something spaneli has to come ruin it for me 😁

I don't think there's much we can tell from Holy Mountain's performance, the Gallaghers don't make much of an impact on the charts with singles these days. It's the album which will be telling for Noel. Liam's success has made this very interesting, everyone will compare and if in the UK Noel doesn't hit 100k units week 1 and get a Number 1 album this release will probably be considered a failure. I guarantee that if the album doesn't sell as well the next Noel album will return to the style of Chasing Yesterday. Regardless of the wealth he has already, no artist wants their output to be a commercial failure. I really hope the album does well though, both Gallaghers having solo success is what I always want as an Oasis fan. That being said, Noel already has two number 1 solo albums so this one not doing so well would hardly be a disaster.

Fuck that stupid Ricky Martin song has 39million views. That is why you should not judge music on youtube views.

Is it just me or does noel seem a lil less confident on stage now a days? Maybe liams success is really getting to him cuz he almost looks like a shell of himself up there it's weird. Watch this video Took 20 seconds of that video for me to disagree with you Cuz your opinion is be all end all foh 🤣

I was joking with him nothing personal on here it's all in good fun and people's opinions is what this forum is all about and I respect that I hope no-one takes ANYTHING I say personal because I honestly don't mean it that way and if I do offend you then I apologize.

It's Noel's third. Of course there's more interest for Liam's album.

Fair play, the lyrical content is better in Round Are Way. But I was comparing the composition of the two songs.... Holy Mountain is a cousin to Round Are Way. Don't compare that sack of SH1T to Round Are Way... RAW is fucking biblical in comparison. I avsolutely hate it.

So just heard HM live this afternoon in Santiago. It has made me more convinced of the fact that it is a great tune.
After a few HFBs tunes people were starting to warm up to Noel. CS helped get more people excited. And then HM. I saw alot of people dancing to it. People nodding along and then a decent amount of applause compared to the previous songs. So pretty good reception.
Sounded loud as hell and fun as fuck. You could clearly tell Noel was enjoying it and even gave a big "muchos fucking gracias" at the end.

Anyone concerned about chart performances, I hear Demi Lovato has a new song out soon for you all to enjoy.

Round Are Way is an absolute blast. It is, its also more than that. Its about being young, in Britain, jumpers for goalposts and being at school. Love, loathe or be indifferent to HM it doesn't really mean anything and that's whY RAW will always be ahead for me.

Considering he's hardly lifted a finger to promote it, I thinks it's doing quite well

Any chance mods can ban the Liam avatar brigade on here?! You remind of someone who used to post here a couple of years ago. He was an instigating prick as well.

It’s a great tune, just been listening to it on the headphones.
It’s a good time for Oasis fans, this Noel or Liam thing is ridiculous.

For me its better than the lukewarm Hindu Times and Lyla at the very least. All of Oasis' lead singles from HC on fit the same mold. They're written to be catchy singalongs that were probably churned out in 15 minutes. There's nothing wrong with this inherently, but they're formulaic and that was the initial point of my comparison. THT, Lyla, and Shock. It doesn't mean they're "bad" (I dont care much for Lyla but like the other 2), but they're just radio singles and written as such. I'd throw Noel's solo singles in that same pile bar Death, which at least had a little depth to it musically.

So for week 2 does it stay in Top 100? Maybe a nice 90 placement.
