I didn't like it, but I kept listening and I can't get it out of my head, but, I'm not getting the appeal of the retro mix/production. I also don't like the vocals so far back in the mix. Just my opinion.

Noel's "Bring the Light" moment... this tune is a grower...

Might not even have been ready for the DIV sessions. I'd love to hear them. Even more than the AA stuff.

I really think this will get a good bounce live.

Tune, this. Can't wait to hear how it fits into the album, particularly since Fort Knox sounds like such a hypnotic opener.

The orange vinyl certainly sold out quick, limited numbers but not sure how many? My email came from The Vinyl Store at 5pm but they were all gone by 6pm when I finished work! Looks like it may just be the same orange vinyl you can get with the HMV deal

"Holy mountain" is at #70 in the UK singles chart. Glad it charted higher than If I Had A Gun and The Dying of The Light. Two songs people and Noel believed were big time anthems. Nope!

Holy Mountain is by far my favourite solo Noel tune. It has honestly been on constant repeat in my car and on my headphones since the day it dropped. I was already pretty psyched when I heard the album preview and the first single definitely lived up to the sound previewed.

I think Holy Mountain will sound much better in the context of the album, alone it sounds like a strange beast of a track, but it will get even stronger with the others.

I’d expect Beautiful World on 11/3. Fresh off his U2 South American tour and 3 weeks out from release date.

I think it could be his typical "gotta churn out a single" track. Latter day Oasis was the same way. IHOTM was the same way. But until we hear it in context with the album, its impossible to pigeonhole yet.

The Shock Of The Lightning is a great single. It's not really. Nah it's pretty good. Great rebound from Let There Be Plod.

The Shock Of The Lightning is a great single. It's not really. For me its better than the lukewarm Hindu Times and Lyla at the very least.

I'd love to hear them. Even more than the AA stuff. Gem said nothing was kept from the DIV sessions. Maybe he liiiies though. Oh yeah. Certainly would love to hear them. Even though it seems they didn't get much done, still would be really intresting. I think what Gem ment was that nothing was put on DBTT from those sessions, If I remember correctly. Im sure someone has the tapes.
