I think that's created on purpose to give a more "intimate" effect when the drums kicks in and the vocals sound warmer afterwards. Highly doubt it. It's an actual error, at the very beginning of the first word (when). There's just acoustic guitars, and Liam's voice comes in... clipping. Can't believe they got this wrong. Also andymorris you've probably noticed but god, some parts of As You Were are unlistenable when on good equipment. The last chorus and middle eight of Universal Gleam, the ending of Bold and When I'm In Need, the choruses of Wall Of Glass, parts of Greedy Soul... I'm amazed at the amount of digital distortion they have. It's horribly high. It sounds good on my Apple earbuds but if I try to listen to the album on my monitor headphones or my studio monitors I seriously can't stand it. And for the sake of me, I think this was both a mixing and mastering error. In the mix, tracks weren't clipping, but the plugins were. They didn't see it. In the mastering it was already fucked up and there wasn't much to do, as they had to compress and limit the tracks in order to achieve louder, industry standard volumes and couldn't get back to the mix (I've read a few times that the mastering took place much much after the mixes were finished). I think that was the case cause something similar happened to me when mixing/mastering my band's album. But I'm going so off topic right now I'm feeling bad about it Sounds like 0.1 sec was cut from the begginig of the word "when", cant realy hear the W actualy, yeah thats a very cheap error, when u look at the channels at the studio u can even see it, no need to even hear that...someone just rushed his work..

Oh man, I've listened to the preview only 3 times because I thought his vocal was too drowned by other instruments, but the melody is still stuck in my head until now. Looking forward to the full version. It's a really catchy tune.

I'm trying to listen to that song, already heard it like 10 times and not a single time it got any better than the previous one... even fot stucked a bit in my head, but in a veeery bad way... Everything annoys me in this song i guess, i want to kill the guy whistling, i want this wall of sound with these stupid horns to explode, i want noel to stop trying to sing this, his voice doesn't fit at all, maybe he should do a Liam-reverse and hire singers to sing his songs lol.. I really hate this song and i hate hating things, but i guess there will still be 10 more songs on this album.. still don't get why he made a single out of this one, like if little james was a single to sotsog Noel can't pick singles. Spmetimes the best song from Gallagher album is a pretty obscure one.

Well we all know that (Shakermaker anyone?), plus he has a very strange habit of pissing away better tracks as B sides, not realising much of them are stronger than what ends up on his albums - but that has become legendary now.

Yes! Shakermaker is a good example, the song is good, but it's not 'single material'.

Maybe you should try listening to it all the way through? :/ Ok, I really tried to like it yesterday. I was listening to it like 7 times. I can understand what you might like about this song, I started to like the verses and the beginning of the song to be honest, I really gave it a second try. The only problem is that this shitty Ricky Martin chorus is unforgetable for me :/. It's the worst Gallagher's related melody ever in my opinion. I'm the opposite, I don't like the first verse that but then it starts going and I actually enjoy listening to it. It does get better with each listening and now I kinda like it. I've probably listened to it 15 times now

Day 1 - It sounded weird but great ( but it was 2am and I was out whole day drinking)
Day 2 - It sounded weird but shit
Day 3 - It doesn't sound weird at all anymore. I can now hear melody clearly and forget about production. And it is typical Noel's song. Nothing modern or new or experimental. Demo or b side quality, like She Must Be One Of Us or songs like that. Production, bass, flutes...give this song a little extra quality but not that much to hide that this is average Noel's song.

And yeah Greedy Soul, Bold and Wall of Glass are pretty bad when transposed on good equipements. Especially the drums and guitars. Are those songs from the same session ? I dont know. I think there are lots of mistakes simply because it was passed on from hand to hand of many engineers, producers... etc I havent listened to the whole thing on monitoring headphones yet but i will come back with a full analysis someday just so i can be called an audiophile vagina again. Sometimes i analyze a track naked. Eargasm is never too far away. Bet it's not your chin you're scratching then eh Andy ;-) Yeah i'm scratching my d... ear !!!

If I didn't know much Oasis and I heard this on the radio or what not, I'd probably turn it out because it's just loud noise

Official YouTube audio-only videos are perfect for social networks sharing: everyone can listen to them, while you need an account AND you have to be logged in if you want to listen through a Spotify link. Noel's management fucking it up once again. Unsurprising.

I've discovered so many new bands thanks to YouTube. Liam's new videos are super popular and HM would have many views if Noel's managment put it on YouTube.

Lack of understanding of how the enterwebs work. If Noel's people are reading this, please shoot me a message and we can work out a system in which I get the tracks before release and I'll post an official video for you. Thanks.

Checked out numbers of views on Genius - 7300. That's pretty impressive. But It would probably have more views if Noel's stuff was promoted well.

I'm actually most shocked that Noel isn't in the UK to promote it.
Typically, we'd be getting a million interviews right now, and those interviews help out Noel A LOT.
