Where did you read that? Source? Because if its the instagram post, some lad here said that in the Riverman video theres a paper that has 'You Know We Can't Go Back' written on it. So theres chances that the next single is a 'new' song It was in the pre recorded interview on Moyles. Oh well good news then. Cheers mate. I really really loved that IABW bit in the trailer. Specially the melody where he sings 'You walk another mile'. That one should've been the lead single. To me a lead single gives you a taste of what the album will sound like in its integrity. So if Noel said its a psychodelic thing to me makes sense put a psychodelic song out in the first place. But well...music industry

That instrumental bit at 1:19 is one of favourite bits of post-split Gallagher music already.

It's because so many people think that it souns like Ricky M., it's not funny anymore, just like 'beige potato' thing. Plus Liam loves Living' da vida Loca himself. And I didn't say that your opinion is wrong. I'm not trying to be funny, It does have a very "she bangs" section. I also own both of Noels other albums so it's not like I can't appreciate his stuff. I just don't like this direction. That's okay - people have different tastes. I like what direction he's taking - because he had many plodding dad-rock songs in the past. - Liam delivered a more classical album and Noel's album will be more experimental. This is balance that I like.

I´m gonna be honest. I don´t like it much but i totally do not see where the Ricky Martin comparisons are coming from. It´s far from being that bad.

This new single just isn't for me.

If you put Holy Mountain on really loudly while you read the back and forths in this thread, it is really quite an experience.

I've always said joy was the hardest emotion to express in music, and I've heard risible attempts by the likes of Coldplay and U2 over the last number of years to prove that even top songwriters like them look pathetic at it. So trust the master of such euphoria to pull it out the hat. He's absolutely smashed this one for six. reminds me of something beck said in an interview about his new album 'colors' "...he says, songs that are ‘simple and uplifting and galvanizing, where the spirit moves you, that kind of feeling. Those are the hardest. This new record I focused on that feeling. It’s the easiest to fail at. Or to come off on one hand disingenuous, or on the other hand just trite, or, you know, there’s that fine line between platitude and just the truth. And that fine line between making a big commotion and a bunch of movement and just actual unadulterated joy.’”

This thread has set a record for the most mentions of Ricky Martin on an Oasis forum. It might have more mentions of Ricky Martin than the average thread on a Ricky Martin forum.

Get on it. Many parts of this tune have been going through my head all day. Best Gallagher related release in my ten years as an Oasis fan. By quite some distance. I've listened to Holy Mountain twelve times now and I feel the same way. I've loved many post Oasis songs from both Gallaghers, but I don't think any come close to this one.

Seriously, I am curious about whether those who write off Holy Mountain because of She Bangs write off Bag It Up because of It's Raining Men. Anyone? Anyone?
