Wow, that was GOOD and EXCITING.
Now I understand what Noel meant in that interview 1 year ago: that (at least at that point) the album was turning out to be a rock and roll record, not an electronic album.
Probably it is the excitement talking, but I would say this is the best first single we have had since DYKWIM

You know you've done something when people either completely love what you create or completely hate it. Welcome to the world of taking chances Noel. It's been waiting

Looks like we're going to have the pain of collating all the random remixes together again. The deluxe edition is really pointless this time round!

It's been waiting And yet ironically it sound the most retro Noel has ever been : dylan-style melody, flutes from the 60s, rhythm from the late 50s, fanfare from the early 70s. It's like a mix of retro

What a fucking exciting time. And to be able to hear Dead in the Water pre-release is a blessing!!! Can't wait for how many people will say they love Dead in the Water far more

It's catchy as fuck, I'll give him that. A bit of an amalgamation of Mucky Fingers, Do The Damage, She Must Be One Of Us and a few others. I think I like it.
