I can really see this song in a pop (soda) commercial where everyone is kinda bored/lifeless and the second the tab is pulled, this song plays and everyone gets up and starts dancing and stomping in the middle of the street.

Yup, nobody can say he didn't give it an honest try. Based on everything we heard, I think it will be a cohesive album worthy of a purchase. Dave Sardy on deck for LP4 if the public reaction is lukewarm... Noel has been completely open about the possibility of this not selling well as his other albums. It would take disastrous sales, which there are enough hardcore Oasis fans that that won't happen.

The whistling is back! #TeamWhistle
Not sure what to make of the Beach Boys' 'woo-hoo-oooh' in the background.

Pelo amor de deus!! Essa música eh horrível!! Vcs gostaram? Yep, pretty much! It’s very “unoasis”, but that’s quality work. Again, I get why people don’t like it. I bet that if you’re reading this forum, there’s a huge chance that you’re an old time hardcore Oasis fan, and most of us don’t really do that pop/electronic stuff. But I do, as I do Power Metal, and MPB (popular Brazilian music), and many other stuff. It’s OK to be divisive. Hell, after such a long career, it’s expected. If you’re ecletic in your music taste (as I believe Noel is, increasingly so), these changes are bound to happen. I do pop and all genres as long as the music is good. I can tell you right now this is not a good pop song. It just sounds like an unfinished demo by Ricky Martin

SOTSOG was a tough time for them mentally but the album didn't sell that well either right? We got Heathen Chemistry right after.

The thing is that while he will get new fans(i'm sure, this is the type of commercial mainstream sound people like these days), he's running a serious risk of alienating part of his regular fan base and that may be a tricky balance to manage. Of course he can always go back to basics and recover them back next record.

He's probably going to sound a lot different from now on. I don't think he cares too much about album sales going by his public remarks.

It's a funny song, nothing more to me. Sounds like B-side material tbh. Production is meh (I'm not an expert but it sounds 'compressed'? The sound is not that clear) and it is plodding and repetitive. It will probably grow with other listens, but it doesn't go anywhere at the moment.
I get the Bring the Light comparison but BTL was a great Jerry Lee Lewis throwback and a great piano, it was miles better than this plodding track.

Don't think he's dealing with those things this time.

Vocal mix is TERRIBLE, so muffled. I hate the 'She bangs, she bangs' comparison. And what the fuck is up with the Beach Boys 'wooo-oooo'.... NO.Fucking mess of a track.

Just saying Noel has a history of going into safe mode whenever things don't pan out proper. SOTSOG was a tough time for them mentally but the album didn't sell that well either right? We got Heathen Chemistry right after. Heathen Chemistry wasn't really cut-and-paste Oasis either. I think Noel got his Oasis-ish stuff out of his system with the first two albums. He's probably going to sound a lot different from now on. I don't think he cares too much about album sales going by his public remarks. Well the cut-and-paste Oasis didn't exist - no way they could make an album like the ones they did from 94-97, without Bonehead and Guigsy that spirit and camaraderie that encapsulated the first three LPs was gone, Andy and Gem seemed like session musicians rather than crucial parts of the band. Add to the fact Noel was drug free and lost his touch for crafting ravenous youthful anthems along with a Liam whose primal punk vocals had deteriorated. 90s Oasis would only had worked in the 90s, so the band had to think of a new direction. SOTSOG wasn't the most ideal, but it was good start in where their sound should've went. Instead, HC is an embrace of early 2000s MOR alternative with useless attempts at anything interesting. This continued with DBTT, DOYS was finally when things got more interesting again, but too late as Noel and Liam's relationship had soured.
