The fade out is really abrupt. Hope that's just on the single and on the album it merges into the next song? Yeah it is a strange cut off.

I love that this is diving so many people. Honestly, this already my second favorite single from. 1. TDOYAM 2. Holy Mountain 3. ITHOTM Of the lead singles, this one blows the other two out the water. Really like Death of You & Me but this one is the first Noel single to really really grab my attention.

2nd and 3rd listen vastly improved after a few minutes of sitting on it. Chorus is catchy.

I'm getting this early Oasis, Slade inspired Round Are Way kind of happy vibe from it. Feels good. I don't hear anything like early Oasis or Round Are Way - what early Oasis song would you say? It does have a slightly similar vibe to RAW, I think.

Nope, not getting this at all. The songs from the preview sound much more promising. This is just nonsense, and not the good kind of nonsense that Noel writes. Same. It's just not my type of tune. I love the flutes but that is about it. Would've liked a stronger chorus.

I always loved Round Are Way, especially with the 'Keep the Customer Satisfied' style brass on it combined with the wall of guitars - perfect blend of late 60s -folk pop and 90s alternative rock, amazing. None of that is present in Holy Mountain to me.

Noel had a song on one of his spotify playlists from sometime this year that has a song that has a really similar vibe and sound:
Dig both. Just wondering if this is a pinball situation...

It sounds like something that the OAP's would be dancing to at a wedding.

I don't necessarily mean one particular song, just this is kind of a mood/feel i'm getting from some of Oasis early B Sides like D yer Wanna Be A Spaceman, Round Are Away, I Will Believe etc, you can just feel the joy. And Slade, lot of Slade. And mushrooms...

2nd and 3rd listen vastly improved after a few minutes of sitting on it. Chorus is catchy. Agreed. I still like the three previews we heard a lot better, I don't think this one's potential is quite as high as those songs. This one is what it is and I'm not sure it will grow too too much for me. But this has a certain charm to it. Also an infectious energy and everything is catchy from Noel to the flutes and everything else going on. For me, if it turned out to be the best song on the album, I'd be highly concerned. But from the sounds of the previews, it won't be. And again, the first single from Noel has never been an overall preview of what is to come. I'm very excited though. She fell, she fell.... so catchy!

Enough listens: it's a good song for what he's trying to achieve, just not my thing. It's out there for sure, which is good, just not my kind of music personally. I'm not sure how well the public will like this song though, I have a feeling it won't be well received.

Going by his previous singles, he is offering a fun teaser.

Thanks Thomas!!
Found that quite a fun song. After two listens I like it. Lots going on but the Noel essence is still there, for everyone worried about to much change. Looking forward to listen to this on the speakers tomorrow. Great that it's a holiday!
Still think the album preview sounds more promising!
Good time to be an oasis fan!

Fuck me is this ever catchy I've stopped listening to it now cos I really need to get to sleep, but in addition to the chorus so many individual elements are ear worms: the flutes, the brass, the bass, the woooos...

It sounds like a lot of fun, and I get the impression Noel had tons of fun making the song and the album. And that is really good. Cause change for many isn't easy, but it sounds like he embraced the style of working in the studio and making this project as a whole. If he is having fun and is inspired with a little help, some new sounds and new methods, it only means we are going to continue getting greatness from him.

This is by far the best thing that Noel's released since D'You Know What I Mean. Yup, I just went there. I love how relentless that funky groove is, the powerful horns that sound like they're meant to move (holy) mountains, the cathartic chorus, the twinkling flutes, and the general euphoric "I'm in love and it's a lovely day" vibe! I'm already adding this to my wedding playlist. Bring it on Noel!!
