Inspired by how one should not to be a dickhead, perhaps.

He's a dick, a monumental one, but you can't deny he has talent. P.S. Anyone remember back in 2009 he cited his approval for Falling Down? Really? As in the Oasis song? Or the film where that bloke gets the guns out cos he cant get a breakfast meal?

Fade samples a Chicago house classic, Mystery of Love by Mr Fingers. Given Noel's inclinations for old school electronica, this is totally believable.

Put a girl in a thong in your video and you got 70+ millions views. "modern" music. Or be the greatest artist of your generation. Either way. Anyway, Fade is definitely one of the weakest songs Kanye has put out IMO - but I know Noel loves this absolute monster of a tune, too: Anything inspired by that would be biblical. Damn! That's Kanye!? I hear an excerpt of this all the time in an advert. Banging tune.

I love Kanye's tunes until Kanye comes on. The non-Kanye parts of Dark Fantasy, the guitar lick in Gorgeous, Jimmie Foxx on Golddigger, the female vocals and chorus on All The Lights...great stuff. Just don't care for his voice or raps. So since Noel isn't rapping anytime soon this is only good news in my opinion.

If Noel tried to rap on a track it would no doubt turn shit, but it would priceless just to see the reactions on the forum.

Are we really having this conversation ... if Noel was inspired by Mr West then the album is doomed ... am I the only one that wants some proper rock n Roll? Noel and Liam was one of the last of a dieing breed.. I'm scared Liam is now alone cause man everything is pointing to Noel leaving for the otherside.

Proper rockers are everywhere, but people aren't paying attention. There's a reason middle-aged Liam and Noel have fans in their teens. There will always be an appetite for rock n roll. We're just in the middle of one of the low-tide periods as far as the mainstream is concerned. It's the late 80s all over again. Dancey pop and synths for everybody, guitars for no one. Within five years, we'll be in the middle of a rock resurgence again. Same as it's been for the last 35 years. I'm glad to see Noel pushing his boundaries. Liam's holding down the fort just fine.

Tbf, every single time I've heard the "Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart it out" line, I've always thought that it was ripped from a hip hop song.

Why is it beyond the comprehension of some fans that not all Oasis fans just listen to meat and potatoes guitar music? I get that people prefer that, and that's no problem - we're all here after all because we like that music. And Liam's now got a damn fine album that caters for that need. But Noel, as the creative force and songwriting genius of Oasis, has something to prove that he's not just a songwriter writing songs off past glories. All the better for it if the brain dead meatheads at Oasis gigs (you know, the ones who play 'circle of death') don't like it in my opinion. With Liam's traditionalist solo album and Noel's hopefully creatively expansive album, we get the best of both worlds.
