I haven't heard it, but bad inspiration doesn't necessarily mean the outcome will be bad as well. Nor does good inspiration mean the outcome will be great.

I like some of Kanye's stuff and there's wrong with being inspired by him. I'm just surprised Noel is that's all.
But Fade IS shocking.

Always liked Fade. Never really got the appeal of Post Malone though?

Put a girl in a thong in your video and you got 70+ millions views. "modern" music.

Put a girl in a thong in your video and you got 70+ millions views. "modern" music. Or be the greatest artist of your generation. Either way. Anyway, Fade is definitely one of the weakest songs Kanye has put out IMO - but I know Noel loves this absolute monster of a tune, too: Anything inspired by that would be biblical.

For my money, no other hip-hop artist in history has been as varied, consistent, and ambitious as him. Personally, I think Noel being inspired him is great news.

That's fair enough, but it's not like Kanye's famous just for having women in his videos.; Yeah probably, but when someone points out a video for a hip hop artist these days there is, most of the time, a naked lady in it. To be fair, though Beady Eye put a nipple on their cover so it's not just rap. I dont really like modern rap, i liked some of the rap in the 80s and 90s but it never really was my thing. I'm more a Rhythm and blues, Jazz or Disco guy. Michael Jackson before Invincible is one of my favorite artist of all time. The father of them all.

I don't understand why people seem to view naked women in the video as impacting the music. It's just another stupid video cliche. Let's be honest, who really even cares about videos any more? If you haven't already, give Kanye's first album "The College Dropout" a listen. You might like it, it's less egotistical and conciously artistic than stuff like Yeezus, and has a lot of emotional and humble lyrics.

Videos are the main format for music listening these days. Youtube views are worth millions. dont be mistaken, that's all the kids are watching. So IT IS very important. A bad video can make or break an artist. I'll give it a listen.

Black Skinhead is one of the most savage tunes I've ever heard - from Kanye West or anyone. If there's anything on Who Built the Moon anywhere close to being as relentlessly aggressive as that song, I'll be a happy camper.

Fade is one of the best tracks of the last 3 years. People need to get over their hatred of Kanye the person and listen to the music he is actually putting out there.
The opening 15 minutes or so of Yeezus is one of the best openings to an album I've ever heard.

There's some clunky bars, of course, but God - the SOUND of the thing. The ending to New Slaves alone makes the whole thing worthwhile as far as I'm concerned.

He's a dick, a monumental one, but you can't deny he has talent.
P.S. Anyone remember back in 2009 he cited his approval for Falling Down?

The ending to New Slaves alone makes the whole thing worthwhile as far as I'm concerned. Even Bound 2? Uh-huh, honey I really like Bound 2. It's just a stupid, feel-good, summer song to me. Love the samples, the jokes make me laugh, and I think Ye's hidden talent is how he can make up for his not-that-great rap skills with his brilliant enunciations (the "Jamaaaaaaaiiiicaaaaaanss" and "jeromey-romey-romey-romey-rome" bits in particular). At the end of such an angry, minimalist, aggressive album, having such a carefree and triumphant track is perfect. Plus, that whole "I know you're tired" section towards the end with the "oooooohhhhh"-ing is STUNNING. Like, jaw-dropping, orgasmic, just-close-your-eyes-and-listen stunning.

Family Business is such a touching little tune. Sums up the "old Kanye" for me.
