But of course questions during the Q&A quickly turned to Oasis and the band’s 25th Anniversary of their first album “Definitely Maybe” which is coming up in two years. Why is that number significant? It means they can be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Gallagher explained he’s already been contacted by the organization and told them straight up “it’s not gonna happen.” Normally, of course, bands get together to both perform and accept the award but he told the audience he would not attend if they got inducted. On whether he thought Oasis deserved to be honoured: “Well, I certainly think I do.” Yes the Gallagher brothers continue to take jabs at each other every chance they get. With Liam posting these two tweets after hearing some of Noel’s new record. In response to the tweets Noel proclaimed total “indifference.” As to whether he had heard Liam’s new material due out next week. He said he’d heard the single. And repeated his go-to line of total “indifference.” RELATED: Liam Gallagher Puts Aside Long-Running Feud With Idris Elba During the hilarious discussion with media, fans and record execs, Noel was also asked about President Donald Trump. He told the audience he had to be careful what he said, because he already has a tough time getting into the country. He added that Trump was an “interesting individual” and “unique.” Out of the five songs we heard, one of the songs is sure to create a lot of buzz – the opener to the “Who Built The Moon?” album, “Fort Knox” – a moody, kind of psychedelic trip in which Noel doesn’t even really sing. He explained it was actually influenced by Kanye West’s “Fade”. Noel had run into the studio saying how much he loved it after hearing it for the first time. In fact Noel actually wanted to send “Fort Knox” for Kanye to use as his own. But once it was done Noel said he realized, “It was just too fu***** good” so he kept it for himself.

I wonder if they contacted Liam too and how he responded.

I can´t say i´m shocked. By then i guess they both have their solo records tour finished and the reunion talk will again be off the charts. I don´t think they will reform for that or anything, unless they are offered an unreal amount of money or something major happens with Peggy that makes them close again. That´s the only two things i see that may make Oasis reform one day.
I sometimes get the impression Noel does under-value his time in Oasis, which he really should not, he is who he is today because of that band.

is it just me or is noel gallagher turning into a bit of a c_unt It’s headed that way for a lot of people, isn’t it. Brings to mind Peter Kay’s “Mr Manchester himself, all the way from London, Noel Gallagher” introduction at the MEN re-opening.

On whether he thought Oasis deserved to be honoured: “Well, I certainly think I do.” I'm choosing to take him as his cheeky self, same as I do with Liam's tweets. I prefer to picture 1996 Noel deadpanning that than 2017 Noel. Too bad, though. Because Liam will most likely accept, same as when he agreed to perform at the Olympics. Bonehead will be there, and hell, Noel declining means Tony can show his face, too. Will Guigsy come out of retirement for a one-off?

Them being inducted into the Hall is pretty far off. There's no way of telling where they'll be by then, and most artists don't know their response until the honor is actually given to them. For every Axl Rose, there's an Eric Clapton reuniting with Cream.
tl;dr Take what Noel says with a giant grain of salt. Besides, it sounds like he was half way joking.

Would it though? Oasis would have the original singer. Big difference for me. Been there several times. It was ok when it opened and they inducted people who were actually involved with or influential to RnR. Not so much anymore. John Lydon (I know, the butter commercial) said it was a piss stain. www.openculture.com/2013/07/john-rottens-cordial-letter-to-the-rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame.htmlNot so sure he was wrong. That being said, would bet money Noel will be there.

If a Manchester bombing, or multi-million dollar gigs couldn't get them to be on the same stage, I doubt that an induction to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame would do it. They've never cited it as a goal, and I of course I hope they get inducted, but its not like its a giant deal for them personally. Also it's really kinda a joke of a place, multiple completely unrelated acts inducted, and it's really who supports you that has connects thing more than anything else.

Am I the only person who doesn't give a shit about the rock n roll hall of fame? Certainly not. Stopped really caring years ago. But was oddly pumped about Faces being inducted a couple years ago. IMO comes down to people like to see their favorites being honored, even if you maybe don't fully respect the institution doing the honors. I suppose it's a form of validation, weak though it may be.

I'd like to see the original line up (Liam, Bonehead, Tony, Guigsy) come together even for something silly like Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame. And they could play Take Me

It would be cool to see all the members together at one time but it shouldn't be for the R n R Hall of fame. It's too American showbiz for Oasis.

Or Nirvana without Kurt Cobain. What a lazy man. Not even bothering to show up. Who knows if they will be inducted.. and yes, it's not as important as it once was...but it's still an honor for them and their fans. I'm disappointed that Noel would dismiss his fans. My opinion of Noel changed after Supersonic documentary and he really hasn't done anything lately that would change my feelings.
