Had a listen to the broadcasts from Heaton Park and Isle of Wight this weekend. Heaton was amazing, crowd was on fire and Noel's voice was on top, probably the best bootleg from this tour after Milan. Meanwhile, at IoW it was exactly the opposite, crowd looked boring and Noel had some problems with his voice.

Thanks

Backstage interview at the Isle of Wight festival F'kin love those shades, man. Not got a clue what they are, though. Times like this I really miss the 'Noel wears' account - purely for the shades, haha! He's a big fan of Garrett Leight shades. Can't find the exact ones, but there are a few similar pairs here: www.garrettleight.com/sunglasses/mens/

Listening to Heaton Park now - hearing the crowd sing Dead in the Water gives me goosebumps. Beautiful.

Malahide was great. Noel well up for it (to the extent he walked out and geared the crowd up before) and the band were all on form. Great set. Only disappointment was the length (18 songs) - it flew by - and the weather (6pm - 9pm it hammered it down!) but a great day.
DMA's were top. Shame they were on so early, but Blossoms - fair play - are more than able in that third spot.

Not a packed crowd...I thought his tour was selling well...but outside festival dates it looks like his big outdoor gigs are far away from sold out I was there. It was a big crowd. I don't know the capacity exactly but definitely decent. Also, as someone else pointed out, that was a bit earlier on I think. The sun was peaking through from that direction at about half 8 (so 20 mins before he came on). There were still people getting in late (even after Doves).

His shows look impressive and from what I saw last night it was no different. Just the boring setlist that ruins it. With the exception of SCYHO which is fresh to see back I really hope Liam mixes things up with his sets and doesnt fall into the same trap The set works fine when you're there and that's what matters.

SCYHO was probably the highlight, and The Masterplan. DITW was special too and Black Star Dancing went down really well with the crowd (and it sounds ace live - so much heavier than on the record).

Also, was really (really) weird standing watching Blossoms and looking around and Anais and her mates were about five yards away. A bit of a double-take moment haha

A bit of a double-take moment haha Exact happened to me at Finsbury for Liam. I turned around and suddenly Molly Moorish and Debbie's twin sister were standing next to me on the 'other' stage watching Twisted Wheel.

We did Courteeners at Heaton Park on the Saturday, Dublin for Noel on Sunday then DMA’s in Belfast on Monday. Needless to say I’m in a bit of a state today! Ha ha. Rock n roll flight out of Manchester to Dublin on Sunday. Blossoms, Doves and Tommy from DMA’s all on it. It was good to see Tommy in even more of a state than me at the airport! Ha ha.

Yeah the WBTM songs work well together and really energetic but for someone with a catalogue such as his he could rotate a few classics in and out to keep it fresh not just trot out the same material gig after gig, tour after tour. And I've been to gigs on this tour so I know the new stuff works well coz its not played to death

I can't agree with Noel for not playing any song from Chasing Yesterday lately. Riverman, In the Heat of the Moment, The Dying of the Light, even Lock All the Doors or The Mexican which were being played on the first gigs this year.
I understand and totally agree about the experiente when you're there, was incredible when I saw him last year, but makes me sad the negligence from Noel in relation to his solo stuff, mainly some of the best ones he released on his own.
If you're doing 20 songs, at least mix half of the set between the solo stuff, 2~3 songs per album. He's doing 9 solo of 20, 6 from WBTM/BSD and 3 from HFB. It isn't all bad, but leave behind All You Need Is Love and one Oasis song, Chasing Yesterday has a lot of brillant songs for not being played anymore.

Chasing Yesterday is his best solo album. No idea why he is refusing to play any of it.

Haha that's class! I don't like the Courteeners but fair play, that's a hell of a trip. Tommy in a bit of a mess then? And aye, very good trip. Was a broken man on Monday but the gig was top (bar the weather). Bevvies in Malahide all afternoon was class as well, just had to leave early to get there in time for DMA's.

Riverman, YKWCGB, The Right Stuff... all great tunes which add something different to the set. Hopefully he brings them in at some point (LOL at Noel changing his setlist)

Hopefully he brings them in at some point (LOL at Noel changing his setlist) Well he has changed the setlist by taking them out... Both Riverman and TRS have been played plenty on this tour (and he still got criticised). It looks like he's settled on this current 18-20 song list and he's playing another Oasis song in place of a CY song. It's a shame but he gets criticised either way.

Noel usually plays more solo stuff on the 1st half of the tour. On the 2nd half, coming back to the UK and for festivals, he brings a lot of Oasis to the setlist. It happened on CY Tour and now on WBTM Tour. Last year at Fabrique in Milan, he played Riverman, In the Heat of the Moment, The Right Stuff and Ballad of the Mighty I from CY and Dream On, If I Had a Gun... and AKA... What a Life! from NGHFB.

He's had three clearly different sets for parts of this tour. The US leg/Europe and UK arena tour was the 21/22 set with a lot of solo stuff and GLIO etc. Then his festival dates last summer he switched it up a bit, throwing in a few more Oasis songs. This year, mixed it up again and obviously has the new stuff to play plus he's brought back EOTR, which did work really well kicking the second half of the set in.

Noel is playing at Concert At Sea in The Netherlands tonight. He's on stage at 20:00 - 21:15 (19:00 - 20:15 in UK time). I'm not sure if they stream Noel's set live, but here is the link. www.concertatsea.nl/livestream/
