He’s playing neighbourhood weekend this Sunday. Small festival just outside of Manchester. With a mini break between his last show and this I guess this is an opportunity to play something different. I will be there and will report back Same, looking forward to it.

How was it? Setlist.fm lists "Unknown" as the ninth track. Mistake or what is that about? Looks all in all like a pretty average shortened festival setlist.

Setlists for both gigs this weekend. Remember these are shortened sets due to curfews - especially at these smaller festivals - so doubtful that he'll play the 105/110 minutes he had been on his tour earlier this year.
BBC Big Weekend (Perth) - Broadcast Live Time: Approx 75 minutes
1. Fort Knox 2. Holy Mountain 3. It's A Beautiful World 4. In The Heat Of The Moment 5. Dream On 6. Little By Little 7. The Importance Of Being Idle 8. She Taught Me How To Fly 9. Half The World Away 10. Wonderwall 11. AKA... What A Life! 12. The Right Stuff 13. Go Let It Out 14. Don't Look Back In Anger 15. All You Need Is Love
Neighbourhood Weekend (Warrington) Time: Approx 90 mins
1. Fort Knox 2. Holy Mountain 3. It's A Beautiful World 4. In The Heat Of The Moment 5. If I Had A Gun... 6. Dream On 7. Little By Little 8. The Importance Of Being Idle 9. Black & White Sunshine 10. If Love Is The Law 11. She Taught Me How To Fly 12. Half The World Away 13. Wonderwall 14. AKA... What A Life! 15. The Right Stuff 16. Go Let It Out 17. Don't Look Back In Anger 18. All You Need Is Love

I sold my tickets for Neighbourhood Weekender because accomadation was ridiculously expensive nearby, he didn't play that one in Brighton!

I sold my tickets for Neighbourhood Weekender because accomadation was ridiculously expensive nearby, he didn't play that one in Brighton! Shame you had to do that. Couldn't you have booked in Manchester or Liverpool at all, maybe? Suppose it would be tough on Bank Holiday weekend though. Yeh I've been hoping that one would come back into the set at some point. It hasn't been in since about the 5th or 6th gig in the US, but they have been keeping it in the soundchecks. You don't usually get more than a 90-100 minute slot at a standard festival (Glastonbury has a bit of a longer curfew for the headliners I believe, as does Benicassim), so I can see the one he played at Warrington being the basis of much of his summer tour - maybe a few tweaks here and there. TMWBTM needs to come in at some point, surely, but I can see why he's keeping TRS in to get the most out of Y'See, and probably allow the band to flex their musical muscles a bit as well, especially since Riverman and BOTMI have been dropped. The Oasis songs coming in a bit earlier is good for the festivals, and the first three songs work really well - although Keep On Reaching is great it wouldn't have helped the festival crowds get into it at all.

Okay, all recovered from Warrington...
Before the gig I had my concerns. A very young crowd all aged 17-25 and knowing he was opening with 3 new tunes I was worried he would drop like a led balloon but I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Holy mountain was fucking mental, pyro everywhere and it clearly got Noel buzzed up earlier than usual as he said hello halfway through the song and joked about Warrington being Manchester.
Oasis tunes as expected went down well.
Was nice to get if I had a gun / black and white sunshine. Was expecting 14/15 songs so to get a near full set was a good suprise. If I had a gun is an anthem at these festivals he need to keep it in.
The right stuff did not go down well at all. Crowd just went silent for 5 minutes... I understand he needs to use that ysee or whatever she’s called but fuck me this needs to leave the set for festivals. Or just don’t bring her to the festival dates.
Nice to still finish with all you need is love (although strange to perform a cover with such a great back catalogue yourself).
Overall a fucking magic show and a great crowd. Keyboard player (is it Jess?) posted on instagram this was her favourite show of the tour. Noel was in a great mood and I was happy with the setlist.
Wasn’t expecting much from this show but out of the 5 times I’ve seen NGHFB this was possibly the best.

After seeing him on this tour in Manchester and Leeds this was easily the best. He was in a far better mood. Definitely needs to drop the right stuff though, it stinks the place out.

For anyone going to the Edinburgh Castle gig on July 19th, I’ll be DJing with some mates at our own Noel pre party from 4pm to 8pm. This is at 52 Canoes at the Grassmarket so only a short walk to the Castle. Quite a small bar but it’s free entry and we’ll be spinning Noel, Oasis, the Roses etc.
Basically the only place you’re gonna hear Falling Down and The Man Who Built the Moon this tour isn’t it?! Other Noel records I’ll have lined up include The Fame, Carry Us All, maybe something from the Mustique vinyl, Take Me Away. A good mix of old and new all on vinyl - what better way to warm up for the gig people???!!!

Have the tickets already sold out for this? Yeah, they went quick because it only holds about 1,500. Only way to get in is via the competitions on absolute radio now.
