Why is everyone so bothered about number 1's ? Seriously get a fucking grip. Its not the 1990's anymore. Nobody cares. NG has never not had a no.1 album in the UK. It'll matter to him.

November 10th was the release date. The new single will be played next week. Nothing has changed. Its just people on here going metal about Taylor Swift and number 1's as if they matter anymore. Only thing that matters is how many he has sold by the time the year is out. and because of the xmas market it will be loads. Yes it was the release date. Strangely after Taylor picked the 10th, his changed. Noel also cares very very much about a #1. He said so many many times over the years. The Stereophonics did the same I believe - as in they were due to release their new album at the beginning of November and actually moved it forward a week or two. Not sure if that has much to do with Swift, but they got their first No.1 album in eight years when they released their last one, so I'm guessing they're wanting to follow up that success too.

Liam is also nailed on for No.1 in the UK, so Noel won't want to be losing out

If Love is the Law - could be god help us all...if only because i can hum the tune along with either set of words...anyway enough with the baseless speculation from me haha, excited about both albums now can't wait to hear them. God Help Us all is - at least - 12 years old now. Given Noel seems reluctant to use any or too much old material, I can't imagine we'll ever here a studio version of that tune. I'd love to get 'Don't Stop', at some point, though.

Everything about this album has been different. His choice of producer, his writing songs in the studio, his silence leading up to it.....He might just drop it. He loves Bowie who did it. The supposed album title hints of Bowie. It would be out before Liam's. It makes sense. Everything's different.

The only lyrics in Fort Knox are right towards the end of the tune: "CAN YOU SING (it now)??!!"

How great will it be when every song on this album is from the faster of the speed of sound demos? She must be one of us, Come on Outside, etc

The timeframe is too similar to Chasing Yesterday that I get the feeling that next week we'll get a new single and be told that the album comes out in March with a second single in December/January. That way Noel will get a rest from the U2 tour, enjoy the holidays and head out on tour next year.
But he still has the time to release the record in October so, who knows?

Who Built the Moon?
Fucking hell... Looking forward to Matt Everitt's interview on Monday morning- "So, you've been working with David Holmes on your new album?" NG: "David Holmes? No, David Icke- it's a space jazz album about how the lizard people have to go back 4.6m years and actually build the moon."

Where did this space jazz term come from anyway? Has Noel ever explained where the fuck he got this from? I guarantee with the moon and all on this album he'll reference somehow again.

Probably from the AA sessions. I'd bet the AA guys are into some of Sun Ra's stuff since he was one of the pioneers of psychedelia.

That would make sense. I expect a 15 page long rant from Gaz shortly on the subject.

So we'll have album releases from Morrissey and Noel within one week. That's awesome.
Don't really trust any of the things said about the album, very similar to what we had before CY - not that I would complain about another CY-style album, but it looks like half the forum expect Noel to do something radically different.

If this was an oasis album it would probably be able to knock Taylor off number one the first week right?

Screenshot in case the Ignition police tells Amazon to take it down. The announcement is coming very soon anyway, maybe as early as Monday I guess.
