Members of The National, The Hold Steady to play NYC fundraiser in memory of Scott HutchisonJulien Baker, Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, Aaron Dessner of The National, The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn and Kevin Devine will all be appearing at a fundraiser in New York this December in honour of Frightened Rabbit’s late frontman Scott Hutchison. Tiny Changes: A Celebration Of The Songs Of Scott Hutchison will be held at Rough Trade in Brooklyn on December 5th with all proceeds going towards the Scott Hutchison Fund, which Scott’s brother and bandmate Grant explains has been set up ‘in memory of our beloved Scott’: “It will form the basis for a Mental Health Charity to be set up fully in the coming months. We hope to be able to help others the way Scott did with kindness, empathy and hope.” That same month, Frightened Rabbit are due to play their first gig since the death of their singer at the Sleep In The Park event at the Kelvingrove Bandstand in Glasgow. www.live4ever.uk.com/2018/10/members-of-the-national-the-hold-steady-to-play-nyc-fundraiser-in-memory-of-scott-hutchison

Frightened Rabbit Presents: Tiny Changes
Hello
A message from Grant and the Hutchison family.
In the year since Scott passed we've endured so many different emotions and experiences we never imagined we would. Endurance being the most appropriate word as at times it has felt like a never ending marathon of grief. But one thing that has shone through every day in these past months is the feeling we as a family had that we needed to turn this tragedy in to something positive and that's why you are reading this right now.
Today we are so pleased to announce that we have set up a mental health charity in Scott's memory called Tiny Changes. We've heard from so many people in the last year who's lives have been changed by Scott and his art and we want to continue that legacy and keep making tiny changes in the same way he did. By spreading a message of hope and encouraging empathy and education we feel that real change can be made in the way we approach mental health in young people. A small act of kindness and the ripple effect of it can make a massive difference in someone's life and give someone the strength they might need to get on a path to improving their mental health. We believe that talking about mental health as early as possible in a child's life is the best way to promote an idea of wellbeing and self care that can be carried through in to adulthood.
