Love a good EP, wish more bands would throw them out between albums.
Standard Frabbit - always offering something to hardcore fans, never keeping them waiting too long.

Love a good EP, wish more bands would throw them out between albums. Standard Frabbit - always offering something to hardcore fans, never keeping them waiting too long. Absolutely. This EP with 3 songs is a nice tiny gift from Rabbits to their fans who's been supporting them in thick and thin. I really like the track 2 "How It Gets In" with an American female singer called Julien Baker. It's a beautiful song. There's so much great music out there if you search and open to something new.

Don't think he'll ever read this post, but I'll try it anyway.
Scott, your brother, other members of Rabbits and many of your fans including me worry about you. Please be safe!

I'm crying. I still can't believe it.
Rest In Peace, Scott. Your music keeps alive and if you're ever bored there up in the sky, send us some music by you. My thoughts with his family and Rabbits.

I can't say I was a huge fan, I never even listened to all of their albums, but some of their songs have been very important to me on an emotional level for years now.
There was a period in my life about 4 years ago where I believe lots of things changed and shaped my future. I can't say I was depressed but I felt like something was missing in my life.
That year I started watching a tv show called 'Chuck' and even though it's really not that good show, I think it had a certain message that helped. But the most important thing in that show was the soundtrack; not only did I "find" Oasis from that show but also many other bands including Frightened Rabbit.
FR had 5 songs in the show and I ended up building a kind of nostalgic connection to all of them. They were one of those bands that got me interested in indie rock (which isn't popular at all in my country; that show was one of the first introductions for me) so even though I wasn't really a fan they meant a lot to me, still do.
I might not know the singer as a person that well, but listening to those songs and realising the voice is now gone forever makes me feel very sad.
Edit. Just remembered I had made Spotify playlist of the soundtrack adding all of my favourite songs from the show. 'Keep Yourself Warm' is the first song I added in the playlist back in 2014.

Struggling to believe what happened. I know his music dealt with such bleak themes such as suicide, but there was always evidence of a warmth and humanity there which I naively believed would keep the very very worst scenario at bay. His songs will now always sound that much sadder now.
It is cruel that he never experienced the peace that he himself gifted to all his listeners. Here’s hoping his soul is finally at rest.

Scott and James (The Twilight Sad) years ago:
I was lucky enough to be able to see Rabbits 3 times. The first time when I saw them was at the upstairs hall of Paradiso on Sunday afternoon (2010). Scott made a joke "I'll be able to say good night to my mum after the gig" as it was finished before it went dark outside.
The second time was in Utrecht, 2013. Scott made a joke that he never washes his "junior".
The last time when I saw them was November 2016. It was a cold day with nasty wind. I still see Scott standing on the stage in Tolhuistuin.

Rabbits have left a book for Scott at King Tuts for sharing their stories, pictures in memory of Scott: http://instagram.com/p/Bi4m8f7HdYA A statement from the Piece Hall Trust, Brudenell Social Club and Future Events: A STATEMENT FROM THE PIECE HALL TRUST, BRUDENELL SOCIAL CLUB AND FUTURESOUND EVENTS Posted On: 15 May 2018
We are all shocked and deeply saddened by the recent loss of Scott Hutchison and our thoughts go out to his family and everyone else who was close to him.
Out of respect to Scott and Frightened Rabbit we have decided not to replace the band on the bill for the forthcoming show on 26 May.
We will hold a minute of applause and noise to celebrate the life and music of Scott at 7.30pm.
The other artists will have extended set times.
We will also be collecting on the gates for a regional charity who deal with men’s mental health awareness, please give generously to this cause. thepiecehall.co.uk/article/a-statement-from-the-piece-hall-trust-brudenell-social-club-and-futuresound-events
