Out Lines are playing UK dates in February and March. If you get a chance, please go to see them.
James Graham, if you ever read this post of mine (I highly doubt, but you never know), please consider European tour with Out Lines.
A related, but sad news. Mark, the drummer from The Twilight Sad left the band. I wish Mark and the Sads (James and Andy) all the best! You'll be missed, Mark!

I listened to this album over Christmas mimmi. It's more abstract than Twilight Sad and is a slow burner that has slowly creeped into my head, and reading behind the concept of it all is fascinating. It's really interesting reading the motives behind it, and that turmoil really comes through in the music. Quite dissonant and bleak at times though. I wish I could express my thoughts and how I feel for the music I love just like you do, matt. Many people would say their music (The Twilight Sad, Out Lines) is miserable and depression maker, but I see beautiness in darkness. I can't explain why I love this kind of music, I just really love it. I can definitely see why, it is beautiful. They write fantastic melodies but it's not sugar coated in a cheesy pop manner either. It's very real and authentic. The beauty is the truth and sincerity of their music.
