Because it's the thread trend at the moment, so let's see with this original b-side for Oasis. For me, it's a 4/5.

With the Noel handicap, it's a 4/5. It'd be a 5/5 for anyone else, but Noel's written so many classics this is actually one of his weaker songs.

Remember buying the 'Stand By Me' single and not liking any of the b-sides, now 'Going Nowhere' and 'My Sister Lover' are two of my favorite Oasis songs....
Thanks.

2/5. This rating is based purely on me not listening to it much and I can't remember the last time I went out my way to listen to it. I remember when I did getting a little bored by the end of the track and thinking Noel's vocals annoyed me a little. Often wonder if Liam could have managed this one but probably for the best he didn't. Though I am not at all surprised this has never been done live, I think it would drag a little if it were done

5/5.. wtf. it's just hilarious. This song is really as good as Live Forever or Dont Look Back in Anger?

Great song, but could do with a better recording. It was supposed to be the antidote to Be Here Now but it was still unnecessarily loud as f**k.

3/5. A decent tune and well produced but pretty average compared to the rest of Oasis 90s material.

I assume he means Noel on vox and not 90s Liam. I don't listen to this one much. Not a fan of the horns and Noels vocals here. Lyrics are nice though.

Should have been on Be Here Now - its tenderness was badly needed to break up the onslaught.

He's written so many classics, that anything he writes that isn't on that level has to get docked a point, whereas another artist would consider it their masterpiece.

Godlike Fantastic Alright MEH Shite
It's a pretty forgettable track honestly. It's fine if it comes on, but I never feel compelled to listen to it.

I'm genuinely shocked to see all these low ratings. For me its pretty much perfect.
It has that classic Oasis magic that was so noticeably absent from basically everything they released post-BHN.
The classic oasis themes of dissatisfaction and wanting to get out at all costs and be somewhere else, this song is a PERFECT example of that.
I'd probably even take it on Definitely Maybe in place of Married With Children, it's that good in my opinion.

Average rating after 40 votes is 3,7. That's very low for Going Nowhere. No?

In all fairness, I've been mostly trolling here. ----- The song is fine, but it's no Live forever or Champagne Supernova.
