The consortium hoping to take control at debt-ridden Leeds United are making slow progress with their plans because of legal complications.
The group have been in talks with the club and its major creditors for seven weeks, but are still some way from completing a deal.
Consortium spokesman Gerald Krasner explained: "There are still a number of legal matters to resolve.
"It means nothing will happen for the next couple of days, but whether there is anything this week or next week we will have to wait and see."
The Yorkshire-based consortium is the only group still in the running to take over the club, as interest from a rival group and from overseas businessmen has come to nothing.
