Think I watched The Holy Mountain by Jodorowsky sometime in the last year off the back of a Bardo Pond track named 'Montana Sacra II' (amazing album closer, one of their best). Re : the film, I don't watch many films, but that is definitely the most weird/screwed up/disturbed film of any film I've ever watched. Not recommended for 1am viewing.

Friend of a friend has heard this one as well (I've already proven I'm not a bullshitter with the Beautiful World info months back). He says it's kind of in the same vein as The Mexican ie rocky but with a big chorus.

If big chorus = good chorus that's pretty cool

These are clearly all songs that have been released or used as an excerpt for dvds or collaborations, etc
These are not to be released songs, unless if the excerpts are becoming a song, like Dying of the Light from the High flyin birds' dvd for example

Because Beautiful World was confirmed by Noel himself and Holy Mountain was confirmed as a rocker by the same credible source who initially gave us Beautiful World.

I've seen countless to be released songs on this site. ' Holy Mountain' has been added within the last 2 weeks or so. Example: live4ever.proboards.com/thread/81959/candle-birthday-cake-probable-song?page=1

Not much more really! Says he heard one more tune but can't remember the name but it was kinda chilled. He did say he hopes to hear more but doubts he will. I'll post more info if he does. I'm liking the variety of descriptions I'm hearing...sounds like the album will have a bit of something for everyone.
- Beautiful World = Falling Down + Chemical Brothers - Holy Mountain = The Mexican + Big Chorus - Other track = Chill
That said, I personally hate inscrutable electronic music (bloop, bleep, boop...), so I'm hoping to hearing more "big chorus" and "chill", and less "Chemical Brothers", but that's just me

I hate inscrutable indie music, it's just all strum, strum, twang, twang.

It's simple, but I just want a really good album no matter of genre. If Noel delivers an actually great rock record devoid of electronic, and you're disappointment, or if he delivers a truly great electronic record and you're disappointed, then you're listening to music for all the wrong reasons.
And there's no greater chance either one of those genres, alone or together, creates a great record.
There are shit rock records. There are shit electronic records. There are shit records that have a combination of both. And Noel trying to experiment and failing miserably, will give me no greater comfort than him not trying and failing miserably. Caring about how he fails or succeeds is fan narrative. Either way, if it's a shit album, it's one I won't be revisiting.

I'm all for Noel spreading his wings and experimenting, but at the end of the day when I fancy some glitchtronica or acid jazz Aphex Twin and Miles Davis's albums will still exist. That said, I revisited a lot of David Holme's stuff last night, including songs he's produced for bands like Primal Scream, and I'm pretty excited about this album now. Fingers crossed the mix of "experimental" with great songs is just right and everyone is happy with this alBOOM. X

The Mexican in the hands of David Holmes would be more interesting, right? So why worry? Just relax, we'll be hearing the new tunes soon enough. Then we'll actually have something to bitch about!

I'm really looking forward to both Gallagher's releases - Noel's new album and Liam's first ever solo album. What a great year for Gallagher fans.

I went against your advice and watched The Holy Mountain in bed last night. That was some mad shizzle. Not a stretch to believe it will be a reference point for Noel though. He's a big western fan and sixties fan, so will definitely have seen El Topo.
