Bit late to the party: is there a clyp link to the full song, or did we only hear the radio edit?
Edit: not on my UK Spotify as of yet.

It's clearly a Noel tradition to release a first single which is not the best representation of an album. At least he admitted that announcing Holy Mountain to his record label as the first single was met with silence. I do like the tune but both Beautiful World and Fort Knox are a million times better and I wouldn't be surprised if several other tracks on the album surpass it too. I love Noel's work but my God his choice of singles and track listing for albums is utterly shite and always has been. Not sure what that's all about. Anyone have any ideas? I love Holy Mountain. Genuinely think it's my favourite track of the year Ok, maybe that's pushing it. But it's a great song imo. Beautiful World is superb.

That's the best video of his solo career so far. Absolutely love it.

I'm just now noticing how (and how much) this song builds up tension and excitement in a very subtle and melancholic way. Superb arrangement.

That's the best video of his solo career so far. Absolutely love it. Then what was that picture of Noel with Beautiful World in it for? Love the Roll With It reference on the second verse.

I’m disappointed about how neutral I am about it....it’s good, but we’re not really striving for good are we?
I guess I just wanted it to be more - it just doesn’t even wrinkle my socks and makes me think I’ll just go back to looking at what the cool kids are up to...I like the nostalgic guitar and rhythms but for me it verges to much on easy listening
I don’t hate it either...meh
Great that so many of you are loving it though

It's good. I like it. I don't love it? But it's a nice tune. Not sure about production of the chorus. And it's about a minute too long.
Good melody though.

The chorus sounds like a pensioner with falsies having their nuts crushed in a tea towel. French bird ain't too bad though. Bono's sperm flows freely on this album. What we've heard so far is nothing like U2. If Beautiful World were on a U2 record it would have a lot more power to it and louder guitar... The song is alright..... I think we're gonna see that the whole of WBTM? needs to be listened to in one go to appreciate the individual elements.

It's just...nothing. It's neither good or bad. I can see what it's trying to be but it never quite gets there and never really opens up. It's all a bit...flat and uninspired, like the other songs. It's very easy to hear that they have been written for the sake of being written/written in the studio. They haven't been captured like real good songs. It's music by numbers and there's no real passion captured on the record. It has the same sterile feeling that most modern pop music has. Just written because it has to be done, not born out of inspiration from within or elsewhere. People might be excited now because it's new but how many times has that happened? - I think as time goes by and people listen more objectively, they will start to hear there's very little substance to it all.

Good track, solid 6 out of 10 for me. Love the lyrics and the verses. Much prefer the chorus on the live version, sounds too processed here. Honestly don't care much for Charlotte's French megaphone rambling, seems a tad pretentious. Cheers

As I said about the live version I like the U2 sound here and it's definitely not a bad song. But they should have let the vocals alone without effects on the voice in the chorus. Don't like that. Would have sounded a lot stronger.
Most interesting for me is to see how experimental and far out this album gonna be in the end as Noel always telling stories prior to the release. Holy Mountain and Beautiful World are more pop songs than anything you could call psychedelic.

I don't get the "psychedelic" talk. Noel himself said he describes it as cosmic pop.

By far my favourite of the releases so far. Liked it on Jools Holland but do prefer this album version. Only problem is that it sorts of fizzles out towards the end. Feels like it was headed somewhere but never quite reaches it. Will have to wait and see if that changes with time. Still, good tune.

I don't get the "psychedelic" talk. Noel himself said he describes it as cosmic pop. Yeh, people here keep bringing this up and criticising it for not being 'super out there' or 'not real psychedelica' (whatever people think that means) but no-one ever said it was? Even while they were making it Noel and David Holmes both said in interviews it was turning out a more rock than electronic record, it seems that people are only making that criticism against their own assumptions. It is certainly pushing Noel's boundaries though, such as they are, which is all we can hope for. The point is, the production and instrumentation are far more interesting than the first two albums. Actual basslines! And the melodies are still there and more. I absolutely love it. And that clip of TMWBTM in the radio interview has me salivating.

On first couple of listens I could understand the train of though where people are saying it could get bigger and it is a little one paced etc then I took a break, waited for it to fall seemlessly into my playlist after midnight as it was prepaid and wow it’s perfect.
It is the lack of “the kitchen sink” treatment where in lies it’s genius, it could get big, could have the strings and the 50 man choir but that would do the song an injustice for me.
There is a lovely constant driving, pulsating, flloyd like heartbeat running through the heart of this track with so many subtle little nuisances that it just keeps getting better.
Love it.
I think this album requires a good system or headphones to do it justice too and things will be missed or under appreciated without.
