The footage of these events can be harrowing to watch but maybe it should be mandatory for some elements to watch them and maybe then realise the gravity of the situation we are now facing in Europe. I'd bet my life savings that people on FB already have decorated their pages with Spanish flags, Barca club crests and an inspiring quote to be the icing on the cake. |

Isn't there a referendum coming up for the independence for Catalonia? Just seems these attacks flare up when there is some sort of election or vote in the near future. It worries me it really does.

Jesus fucking Christ. My dad is on work there. Fingers crossed for you pal. He´s ok, he was not in that area but he actually was there grabbing a bite there some days ago. I reckon his return will be postponed due to this, airports must be on high alert now. Still, this is fucking awful. I really don´t think stuff like this is related to ISIS, people just put everything on the same bag now. Bombings like Manchester, shooters like in the Bataclan, that are planned terrorist attacks. This are just people who are just so extreme about their religion and their beliefs and who may have relations to those groups but act on their own accords. It´s still equally sad and i feel for all the families affected but i wonder if there´s an effective way of stopping this. Terrorist stuff has been happening for ages, it´s not really something that only appeared with ISIS. |

I know it's disrespectful to film right after the event and it might break proboards rules but I still feel like it'd be better if more people would see what really happens there. Maybe not in terrorist attacks, but I've noticed there are lots of people who glorify wars (especially in USA) without realising how fucking horrific it really is. After watching liveleak every once in a while I've realised wars are fucking bullshit and everyone who glorifies them is a fucking idiot. I've also become more conscious driver after seeing some post-crash footage. |

I live here. Absolutely shocked. I don't have any confirmations but if there were indeed attacks at Plaza Catalunya... fuck. I live 3 blocks away. I wasn't home though and my family is ok.

Going by the description of the attackers and the style of attack it's safe to assume it's not ETA related and seeing as they disarmed only a few short months ago that theory would seem to be a non starter for now. Are you the one who said the recent London attack may well have been the IRA? Apologies if it wasn't you but I remember clear as day someone posting it on the thread in the aftermath of the London attack. |

Fuck, now there has been a terrorist attack in Finland as well (in Turku where Liam played)... I haven't read everything yet but some foreign guy attacked random civilians with a knife. At least one death and several people injured Still rumours I think but multiple sources are saying the guy was shouting Allah... |
