I think it's alright, but the lyrics are silly. 2,5/5 which translates to a 3/5 on this poll.

I was going to give a 1/5 but the melody's alright. Gave it a 2/5, though 1.5 would be more accurate.

3.5/10
Gets points for Liam's vocals, the cool production, and the "we weren't meant to be grown-ups" line.

3/5 Really like its position on the album, starts off quiet as a breather after PYMWYMI, then the fade out before Gas Panic kinda feels like the last truly happy moment on the album.
For some reason makes me think of that bit in Trainspotting before baby Dawn dies when Renton says "But the good times couldn't last forever"

The melody is great and Liam's voice is superb. It just gets ALOT of stick for the obvious lyrics. Take them out and it would be great

"You live for your toys, even though they make noise Have you ever played with plastercine Or even tried a trampoline"
Remove those lyrics and replace them with something that doesn't make you cringe then it's a good song.

Thanks. i didnt realise this was an english class dont do punctuation mate also i dont see why it would bother you unless your one of the grammer police in which case im sorry but i write the way i write and always will without at least minimal punctuation, it forces the reader to double back and re-read the post to make sense of the 'sentence'. not a big deal, but annoying none the less. ive always enjoyed little james. yeah, the lyrics are sh!t, but overall its not bad...3/5.

A lot of people seem to make fun of the song, but I for one really like it! I think it has a great melody and amazing Liam vocals which totally make the song! The lyrics won't win a poetry award but that doesn't make the tune less enjoyable imo. In fact I like it a lot more than Where did it all go wrong and Sunday Morning Call - these two tracks slightly ruin SOTGOG for me lol (don't get me wrong, I still like it, overall it's my 4th favourite Oasis album).

At least it's slightly better than Don't Go Away.
Okay, I'm joking this time. They're both equally meh.

Regarding Little James, i give it a 1 because there´s no 0. And to make matters worse, there were good b sides left off that album for that to make the cut...

I've never understood how the 'live for your toys' and 'played with plasticine' lines were allowed to make the album?
Could Noel not have stepped in and taken 5 minutes over a cup of tea and come up with something infinitely better?
Even so I'd give the song a strong 3/5.

1/5. Frankly, it's utterly awful. I'll quote myself from an older post: Since I've seen some talking about LJ in other threads, I'll leave this here.. Little James is SHIT. 100% crap without any redeeming quality. I know, objectively speaking there are worse songs in the Oasis catalogue but I totally despise it. Pure hate since the first listen. I've been hoping for years that none of my friends will ever listen to that song by chance and think "oh, that's the kind of songs he likes then". It would be fucking embarrassing

I like it, it's far better than Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is (Probably the worst Oasis song). Little James and I Can See a Liar are nice songs but deserved better lyrics since the instrumentals are great.

It's a great sounding song, the keys really make it. Lyrics are shocking and I wouldn't show anyone the song to get them into Oasis but I never skip it 3/5.

Not a bad track, I really enjoy it and I don't care about the lyrics, they work for a tune like this. I wouldn't change a thing and deserves it's place on the album. 3/5 or 7/10
