Not ending with Dont Look Back In Anger is a bit like finishing on the feet instead of the tits. Still, some people like that. You just had my wife in tears laughing when I read her that!

Right decision to end on WAL and not DLBIA. Ending on DLBIA was appropriate for a concert months ago. He chose to go with a fun, optimistic, electric ending. I like that.

Maybe he feels WAL is relevant to the survivors/victims? Hm, don't know. Feel like DLBIA would have been far more appropriate. I agree. But I think he said this next one is for you .....or something like that.

yeah, " shlip inside the eye of your mind......" that was weird. He's been hanging around with too many posh toffs. Some users have brought up that it could be part of aging. That is, your teeth realigning as you are and changing your speech with a lisp. Don't know if I believe that, but it's a possible explanation.

That's odd.
Or maybe he thought it wasn't fitting because it's kind of weird and insensitive to tell people not to look back in anger after something disastrous has occurred (despite the song kind of being the anthem of the whole Manchester drama)?

Great hanging with you guys during the show. Now it's back to waiting for Miss Irma to come visit.

At least when he ended gigs with The Masterplan it was still a great end...but tonight ending with a poor vocal version of WAL, weird!

Maybe he just did the exact same thing as he's done for the last few months with U2?

Noel vocally was hit or miss. And not doing falsettos on WAL was a mistake, along with it being the last song. But that band sounded fantastic. Makes me look forward to when he comes to Chicago and says, "I wrote this one myself" for the 5001th time

Members of the band really think he should also end on dlbia and couldn't understand why but when I said "it's blatantly coz he wants to end on a hfb song" they went "yeah!..never thought of that, that's it".
Was a nice little moment I forgot about til just now. But that's the reason.

Great set from Noel. Apparently he was in tears during DLBIA. (Quite sad how some people just try to find something negative to say. This was for charity, people there loved it by the sound of it.)

I agree he should have ended with DLBIA. However he dedicated wal to the lives of the people there. Survivors. It's entirely appropriate.

Oh so he did do DLBIA, just not at the end?
Then what's the problem, lol. What are you moaning about?

Tbf, I think that's like the 5000th time he's used that line, most memorably in MTV Unplugged. So I don't think it's necessarily about Liam. The MTV unplugged was in reference to him singing Octopus's Garden at the end of Whatever. No it absolutely isn’t. It was a dig to Liam, who was heckling him from the audience. Noel said “shut up” and then “I’d like to carry on with one that I wrote”. I know this because I’ve probably watched/listened to that Unplugged gig about a thousand times.

Think more people would be open to it if it was a better performance. But apparently he was crying, so maybe that made him unable to do the falsettos?
