Just heard it on Radio 2 Noel will headline charity gig at the MEN Arena in Manchester Saturday 09th September 2017.

The first single will probably drop that week then. It seems reasonable, although U2's new single is dropping on September 8 according to very reliable sources and it will no doubt dominate the news. Maybe Noel is going for the week before, Sept. 1st? |

In theory, the new single will come out before this, but I could also see Noel just doing this U2 setlist...he and his management may not want to make this charity concert all about new single promotion.

Liam was the one who played WOG, made One Love about himself by attacking Noel, and then kept reiterating how much he had to do to get to Manchester. Gig is a Saturday. Singles and albums usually drop off chart reasons on Friday. He could unleash it the day before in theory. |

I don't think they were criticized him playing it. I believe they criticized the supposed hypocrisy of Liam acting as if he was sacrificing a lot and being selfless, when he was also using the event to promote. I think if Liam hadn't made the event about Noel being there, and about how much he was doing to be there, I don't think him playing WOG would have been brought up at all. |
