Good song, i give it a 7, only because Liam had nothing to do with writing.
It's supposed, according to his words, to be a big apology song for everyone he's pissed off. But he didn't write a single word... WTF.

So are there actually strings on this? I can't really tell. I don't know why, I was kind of expecting some kind of choir on the chorus to make this sound momentous.
I do like the song. If Noel got his hands on this and it was released as an Oasis single, I think a few tweaks and a cool video could make this epic.
By tweaks - I think the chorus melody could be a little better, and it does need a bit more of an edge. The chorus could currently be sung by Selena Gomez lol

Can't be bothered reading through all the threads on FWIW - did Liam write this one? The email I just received from the official site about FWIW has this quote from Liam: “I wanted to write an apology… Not to one person, but to everyone, because I’m no good at saying sorry.”

Someone else wrote it for him.

I like it when I listen to it, I just don't listen to it much.

For me this is the first solid 9 of Liam's album cycle. I thought Wall of Glass was really promising, as are some of the live tunes but I've tried not to listen to those too much so I don't spoil them. I tried really hard to like Chinatown but it's not my thing at all, but For What It's Worth would have been a stand out on most Gallagher-related albums - love it!
Also, did Liam write it? No. Did he write Bring It On down? No. Do I care about either of these things? No.

Once again, i did not write it, so it's not a real apology. Just some other guy's song (that is not my brother) i sing on". - Liam Gallagher

I want to change my 9 to a 7. I haven't really wanted to listen to it again, and when I do I get fed up with it about half way through. I prefer WOG by quite a bit, but I definitely prefer this one to Chinatown.

This song was just an idea that didn't work out well. It is substandard and cheesy.

I don't think I ever officially rated this.
For me, it's a 6.
It's nice songwriting and fantastic vocals by Liam, and honestly, those are enough to make the song more than listenable. But the song is missing something. It's too close to textbook songwriting. A lot of soul in the song is empty imo.

I don't like this song. I gave it a 3. Cheesy is the perfect word for it. Vocals are great as usual, but hearing Liam apologize in song is awkward at best. Liam Gallagher doesn't apologize!

Its not a great but its decent. Catchy.

It's very radio friendly - mainstream but I can see why it was included.

I honestly think the lyrics are fantastic, almost Dylan-esque.
