Actually, can you ask Gem about the end of the DOYS recording session.
Since this is coming up again with Liam, what songs did Gem and Noel demo togerher with Sardy toward the end of DOYS?
I think this and the DIV sessions are pretty big gaps that haven't been fillrd.

Hi Gem,
I was at Amsterdam Arena when Noel supported U2 10 days ago and it was great to see you and Chris playing again. I hope you don't mind, but I must say it was a bit weird to see you and Chris playing with Noel again after seeing you guys with Beady Eye 3 times, but most of all, I was happy to see a guitarist Gem Archer again.
Anyway, here's my question for you. As being a guitarist, who did you get the most influence from? and what did make you to want to play a guitar and to become a guitarist?
Be well Gem and hopefully to see you on stage very soon again.

••• Why didn't "The Roller" end up on any of the last 3 Oasis albums? • It was written before 2002 and was clearly good enough...

Yep, that's basically what I'd like to ask too And I'm interested in some details about the songs he demoed with Noel in 2008 (some of which are probably the demos released on the Faster Than the Speed of Magic Deluxe DVD). Noel confirmed that Dream On was demoed with Gem during the DOYS sessions. Probably Freaky Teeth too. I'd love to hear more about this.

Always been curious why they never played Oasis tunes they'd written themselves.

I'm really looking forward to this interview, many of these questions are really interesting!!
I posted this already on the other thread but I'm gonna repost it here just in case:
I'd really like to know how the changes in the line-up changed the band dynamic! Gem was in Oasis with five different drummers (Alan, Steve, Zak, Chris & Terry) and when Noel was replaced by Matt in 2000, then in Beady Eye and finally now in HFB. There's always someone out and a new one in. Did his role differ because of the lineup changes and how the bands dealt with the changes?
EDIT: Oh and one more thing! What's the deal with his backing vocals? He was the lead singer in Heavy Stereo, did backing vox during the HC tour and in Beady Eye. Why he's not singing in HFB?

Copy-paste from the Russ thread:
- Gem has a very different playing style and tone to both Bonehead and Noel. Did he have to persuade Noel to let him do it "his way" to any extent, or was he allowed to play as he pleased from the beginning?
- When he came into Oasis, how long did he think it was going to last? I think a lot of people expected the band to tour SOTSOG then break up.
- I think fans always assumed he was helping Liam out with his songs, so what was it about Love Like A Bomb specifically that resulted in a co-writer credit?
- Who wrote the BE bonus tracks - Off at the Next Exit and Back After the Break? I don't think it's ever been definitively answered.
- Which Beady Eye album does he think is better?
Generally just make sure to thank him for what he brought to my (and presumably most of our) favourite band of all time. That applies in terms of the sound and also in that he seemed pretty influential in keeping the band from falling apart for so long. I hope he has some understanding of the level of love and respect he's got from the fans.

Ask him when we can expect to hear some Noel material. I won't accept anything other than an exact date

Good work Chief
Was he annoyed that the Roller never made the cut for Heathen Chemistry as it would arguably have been one of the best songs
someone else mentioned... Which songs did he and Noel Demo during the DOYS sessions. Someone on here recently said Stranded on the wrong beach and Freaky Teeth were among them.
Any other unreleased Oasis tunes we dont know about. and Not just Noels!
His opinion on Alan White being Ousted!! Does he still keep in touch?
Hooe it all goes well!
EDIT: Oh and any plans for a solo record!!!

EDIT: Oh and any plans for a solo record!!! I think you are correct. The moment and time for The Roller with Oasis was definitely Heathen Chemistry. I could totally have seen it on that album. Maybe a little dirtier than the clean Beady Eye version. Noel really pumped that one up between 2000 and 2002. "It's like T.Rex doing Instant Karma!"

AGREE. HC would have been that much better (The front end at least) Even if they replaced HIABP With the Roller. And actually put some effort in and got Liam to sing Force of nature in a lower Key.

The Roller HC version would interesting to hear, that's for sure.
Here is a couple more:
- How was the first day of rehearsals with Liam and Noel ? How did he feel ? Was it an audition or did Noel offer him the job right away ? - What was the best brotherly moment you've seen between Liam and Noel ? - How did Noel handle the opening of other people writing for Oasis : song selection ? Was there instructions given on how the next record (and songs) would / should sound ? - How was it decided who would play what solo on stage ? - Did Noel give you freedom to be creative in the studio with guitar arrangements ? - Is there an Oasis song the band hated to play but really had to because the fans were waiting for it ? - What kind of shoes did Andy have when Noel asked for support against Liam in Paris ?

It's probably too late to ask a question, but I've been always wondering about the track called "Show Me Your Love" he was demoing with Liam sometime in 2004.
What has become of it?
Is there a complete demo somewhere, was it part of the DBTT sessions or it's just a little ditty Liam wrote and the only evidence of it's existence is this short clip?

He probably doesn't know but worth an ask if he knows why Noel doesn't care for Let's All Make Believe as much as everyone else seems to. Great tune and I always wonder why Noel hid it away and never gave it its day.
