I was trying to figure that out based on quotes about the songs. It seems only Lock All The Doors was the only one. Maybe Freaky Teeth but that isn't really on Chasing Yesterday. So much of that album was written post Oasis. Maybe You Know We Can't Go Back? I'm not really sure of the origins for that song and it is one of the more typical Oasis sounding songs. Short of that, we the Mexican, The Right Stuff, Ballad of the Mighty I, and Riverman originated with the AA sessions. The Dying of the Light has been kicking about for sometime, but that song seems so....Noel, I can't imagine a Liam take being somewhere out there. And, as I recall, In the Heat of the Moment was the last song recorded for CY. And as I recall, WTSRMS is about Noel reflecting on his home and his children. That doesn't come as a DOYS-era track for some reason. That leaves: Lock all the Doors, You Know We Can't Go Back, and the Girl With X-Ray Eyes? Lock All The Doors for sure. We already have a version of Liam singing it. Slam dunk there. People have long thought The Magic cant Be Right is You Know We Can't Go Back. Just a theory. No evidence. I'm pretty sure Noel said he wrote x Ray eyes as a response to Bowies Next Day album. So that's 2013.

Actually I remember Noel winding up Liam through the press about his solo plans back in summer 2000. Noel had left the tour at that time. In the back of his head he'd probably played with the idea of a solo record for a long time. Not saying he jad some masterplan of holding back tracks though. I wish Noel actually released a little solo album in the winter of 2000. He needed it. An album full of Sunday Morning Calls.

You could say the same of anyone who's been a member of the band. So what do we do, Liam and Noel with a band of hired guns? Do they become the Beach Boys? Nah, it has to be some permutation of the actual members, and Liam prefers the boys he grew up with, the ones he was friends with before they were famous. He's not dictating terms, he's just answering a question. Disagree. It's "just" a question, but everything points to Liam having some kind of a midlife crisis and wanting to relive the past. No post BHN songs in the live set, the old line up instead of gem & andy. And the ranting over and over again about Noel in interviews... it's getting old to be honest. Liam clearly wants to erase 2000 onwards from his life as of now. Hell, has he even spoken to Guigsy in the past 18 years ? Come on... He dissed a guy last year who introduced him to bonehead and claimed he wanted to reform the old Oasis ( story here), and now this... yeah, just a question. The only way Oasis could reform would be to make something new, not to try and relive the past. + Guigsy can't play bass and was nowhere to be heard back during gigs, so there is no need for him Oasis could reform, but with Gem and Andy. They never left. Some other did. And there is no way Noel would reform Oasis without Gem. You slam Liam for wanting what he wants, then go on to try to claim Oasis with Andy and Gem would not be reliving the past somehow. Kinnell. Oasis will never make a new album again. If they reunite, it will be to make the Gallaghers millions of dollars by playing us the songs we want to hear, that's it.

Man. All the kudos in the world to this interviewer for actually asking interesting questions that haven't been asked a million times before and are actually about specific things rather than some vague quasi philosophical bs. Would have preferred more questions about the new album but whatever, first interviewer he's spoken to in a while that didn't make me wanna bang my head against a wall

He says he can do justice to about 80% of Oasis' songs, but that some are better left to 24-year-old Liam. Which ones do you think he might be talking about? I think he may have wanted to do Rocking Chair this time out and decided his voice is now too deep to handle the chorus.

I think he could do the song, still. But I do think that the hallmarks of the song, the loud dirty guitars might be too much for him on a night-to-night basis. Plus, I wonder if there are some songs, much like Noel does, that he steers clear from because they are so associated with Noel's tone and style of playing. Some being Supersonic and Cigarettes and Alcohol.

Some Might Say. I really think either Liam or Noel should do this one. It's probably out of Liam's range now though, but who knows

It's kinda like Wonderwall, he's never really had an issue with it. I do wonder if he trusts his band to justice with it ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/1258801/images/Xs1davOYhobbIuqMMWUr.gif)

It's probably out of Liam's range now though, but who knows I think Some Might Say fits squarely in that category of songs that he's probably talking about. To the best of my knowledge, he hasn't sung it since 2002.

After listening to this, I'm really convinced Liam was at "fault" for the band (Beady Eye) splitting up again and being very difficult to work with... I think they didn't want it directly pinned on Liam being at fault again like when Noel said and put it all on Liam saying he couldn't go on a day longer working with Liam, therefore the cause of the breakup never directly being answered. Liam admitting he would rather have the 90's lineup now makes me think something went sour with Gem and Andy. Also never hearing from Gem and Andy mentioning Liam or wishing him luck for his solo career... I really wonder what goes on behind the scenes that we don't know, as the GQ interviewer even wrote he wouldn't be able to follow or do a world tour with Liam.

I doubt what happened was really that awful given Gem and Andy have publicly supported Liam's career but between his infidelity and Gem's injury, it's pretty easy to see why they called it a day. I doubt Liam wants to revisit that era so quickly.
