Yup, a bonus song from the Oasis days being the best song - typical Noel.
It's just so ethereal. Better than the demo. Brilliant. Nothing else matters.
Always liked this lyric too:

It's definitely not for me. I loved Solve My Mistery and I prefer this demo.

Why do you create a new thread every time you want to voice your opinion instead of posting your thought in one of your thoughts for the day threads? Especially with such small and inconsequential opinions that don't stimulate discussion as much as evoke comments like "wow, what a twat!" What makes your opinion so special that we need an entire thread dedicated to it?
Also, you're wrong. I'd take over half of CY over Revolution Song. Great tune, but it has no place on an album not titled "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants". And I miss the guitar solo. It really sounds like Noel forgot to overdub it on the final version. Lazy bastard.

It's alright until the chorus. I don't like Noel's voice when he gets shouty. It doesn't suit him.

I like it, has me nodding along when i hear it. I'd rather have this as the opener to the album than Riverman which bores me but I know the majority love that song here.

I think he began to do that often after Don't Look Back In Anger. He tries to inject that kind of euphoric vocals in the choruses, but it works on DLBIA because the chorus melody is perfect. On Revolution Song, it sounds more like a forced chorus. |

The idea is there, but the final execution leaves much to be desired.
Similar to a lot of post 90's Oasis offerings.

Wouldn't say it's the best but I'm a big fan. I was actually really shocked when I first heard it because I expected it to just be the demo with a new vocal.

I agree. It's one of my favourite Noel solo songs. It has that melody that is so insanely catchy. I think the arrangements could have been better and it could have been better produced.
But it is a very good track, a bit more effort and it would have been a classic
