Dammit, Ben is out against the packers this weekend. Hope Maddox don't play he is shit. The Steelers need to just run the ball and beat the Packers. Batch is starting, Bettis is out, but Staley will be backing up Parker. 40% of the Packers' starters are out. Steelers shouldn't have any problems getting the win. never count Green Bay out when they're playin at Lambeau. I don't know but this season just seems like it hasn't picked up any steam yet. No big stories developing yet.

Alexander 'definitely' thinks he'll get long-term deal Associated Press KIRKLAND, Wash. -- Seahawks Pro Bowl running back Shaun Alexander said Thursday he "definitely" expects to sign a long-term contract before the end of this season that would keep him in Seattle beyond 2005. Alexander is playing with a one-year, $6.323 million contract as Seattle's franchise player. He signed a tender offer before the start of training camp on the condition the team doesn't deny him free agency again next season via the same franchise tag. Now, though, he thinks the issue of leaving the only team he's known in six NFL seasons -- an issue that is beginning to consume already thrilled Seahawk fans sensing a Super Bowl -- is moot. "Just through talking with people [team executives], everyone is on the same page with getting it done," Alexander said after his 5-2, NFC West-leading team practiced for Sunday's game at Arizona. Alexander, Seattle's all-time leading rusher with 6,713 yards, is the NFL's leader with 12 touchdowns. He also is third with 776 yards rushing. He said re-signing for the long term is important for the entire franchise. He believes the team, from new president Tim Ruskell on down, is committed to sustaining this season's fast start and the growing dreams of a championship -- let alone this team's first playoff win since 1984. "This is my team. I've been here when we were 6-10 (in 2000, his rookie season)," said Alexander, who passed Chris Warren and became Seattle's rushing king in an Oct. 23 win over Dallas. "When I started, this team was trying to get to where we are now. "It's time for us to do something special." Ruskell, though a team spokesman, again this week refused to comment on what, if any, progress the team has made on keeping Alexander. But Alexander said his certainty on expecting to remain with Seattle stems from recent discussions with Ruskell, vice president and contract man Mike Reinfeldt and executive vice president and coach Mike Holmgren. "Meeting with Tim and 'the Mikes', I know we are all on the same page," Alexander said. "We don't just want to win the Super Bowl, we want to make a dynasty. I want to be a player who makes that a reality." Alexander's importance in Seattle's offense grew last month. After the team's two top receivers, Darrell Jackson and Bobby Engram, were injured in a span of one week, Alexander said he told them, "This is the challenge. I am going to take up the slack." He has. In consecutive wins over St. Louis, Houston and Dallas since the duo got hurt, Alexander has rushed for 321 yards and six touchdowns. He is 57 yards and five touchdowns ahead of his seven-game total of last season, when Alexander finished 1 yard behind the New York Jets' Curtis Martin for the league rushing title. Alexander's 1,686 yards in 2004 were a career high and a Seahawks record. He said he isn't keeping track of the regular talks between the Seahawks and his agents, Jim Steiner and Mark Heligman, because he is confident the deal will happen soon. Steiner did not immediately return a phone call Thursday. "Personally, I don't worry about any of that," Alexander said. "... I know I am going to be OK no matter what." that fucker better still keep running hard - I have him on one of my fantasy teams ;D

Yeah, I forgot about Duce, he was dominant for most the season last year. I think Ben's surgery was set up for this time because of the week schedule. Beating the Packers and the Browns with the second string isn't any far task. Still hope those damn Bengals fall apart as usual.

Holmes Career May Be Over
KSHB NBC TV in Kansas City is reporting that Priest Holmes has "very possibly" played his final game in a Chiefs uniform and could announce his retirement from the NFL as soon as Thursday. According to the report, further examinations revealed a lump on his spine that could lead to paralysis if he continued to play. The Chiefs have not officially confirmed the report and, as of Tuesday, were awaiting the results of a third evaluation in Miami. Our View If this diagnosis is indeed true, it would not surprise us at all to hear that Holmes is hanging them up. He admitted publicly to considering retirement around the same time Ricky Williams walked out of the Dolphins locker room. If Holmes indeed calls it a career, Larry Johnson immediately becomes a top-five fantasy running back.

Probably the second best back in the league behind Tomlinson right now. Let's hope he comes back next season

one for mar: Cheerleaders arrested after toilet sexTwo cheerleaders have been arrested in the US - for provoking a nightclub brawl by having sex in a toilet. Carolina Panthers cheerleaders Renee Thomas, 20, and Angela Keathley, 26, allegedly had sex together in a cubicle in a Florida nightclub. They were then involved in a fight with angry women who had been waiting to use the toilet at Banana Joe's in Channelside, reports the St Petersburg Times. Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said: "Alcohol, sex and cheerleaders are apparently the ingredients for a hot story, because I am getting flooded with calls." She said it was "clearly visible" to some of the women in line that Thomas and Keathley were "engaged in a sexual act" in a cubicle. "They started to make a commotion," McElroy said. "They were saying, "Hey, that's not appropriate here. We need to use the bathroom. Come on out."' Thomas and Keathley finally emerged several minutes later and started arguing with the other women, McElroy said. That's when Thomas punched Melissa Holden, 26, of Lutz in the left eye, according to police. Police arrested the cheerleaders. McElroy said they were "so intoxicated they could barely stand up."
