German U-20 goalkeeper tests positive at the FIFA World Youth Championship UAE 2003
Positive doping case at the FIFA World Youth Championship 2003 in the United Arab Emirates: the urine sample submitted by Alexander Walke, the goalkeeper of the German U-20 national team, has revealed traces of tetrahydrocannabinol (carboxy-THC), a cannabis metabolite. A concentration of 34.9 nanograms/millilitre was discovered in his sample, whereas the limit is just 15 nanograms/millilitre. The urine sample was tested at the IOC-accredited laboratory in Lausanne, Switzerland. FIFA immediately informed the German Football Association (DFB) and the player himself about this finding. Both the DFB and Walke have refused the right to have a B sample tested. Walke played in all three group games of the German team and was tested after the match against the USA on 2 December. Germany failed to qualify from the group stages, finishing fourth in their group behind the USA, Paraguay and Korea Republic.

undoubtedly, US youngsters did well..but it takes more than talented 19 year olds to make it big.. see what brazil has done over the years: 99% of their team are employed in european clubs where they combine technical and physical skills to the highest level. know what i mean?
