It's sad, Liam just isn't a songwriter. To see him singing the Oasis classics then going into his pretty average new stuff is heartbreaking. He's Oasis through and through. Give him a chance. Wait for the album. It's the first time fans heard the songs. If noel dropped in some new songs no ones heard before people wouldn't go mental. Even at the famous Bournemouth gig years back fans didn't go crazy for some might say as it's the first time they've heard it. Let's wait for the album version to decide whether to skate them or not First impression - some sounded really good. Others I'll need a few listens or to hear the album versions |

It's annoying how people are so quick to judge the tunes, like just because its not oasis its shit? Nah even off these bad quality recordings I reckon they all sound really good, didn't even expect them to sound as good as they do!

See when he sings "I didn't love you for no 9 to five" or something like that and then "Cause it's allllrriiigghhhttttt" in Bold? That's just about the best Liam has sounded in 15 years.
He sounds absolutely great on Bold vocally.

Can't believe the negativity on here about him playing all his new songs. Can't wait to hear them at barrowlands next week. Disappointed with only 13 songs. Rockin chair and champagne supernova for encore after live forever would've been ideal set If by any chance you hear of a spare becoming available for Barras can you fire me a PM mate. Paper Crown in particular he sorta bumbled his way through live. But do you realise how good that vocal is gonna be on record? It's gonna be Off At The Next Exit x10. Lyla-intro level vocals.

I think we need to be careful how much we take from this first night good or bad. I can only say from watching most of it that the band are good, Liam sounded as good as can be expected and some of the new songs might need time or just might be average. You can't please everyone but I would think we might see some different songs in the rest of the warm ups given he's trying to work up a festival set. He might still be looking for the balance of the setlist. A decent start, we'll have to see where it goes.

This gig was special. Have a beer, listen to Oasis, celebrate our generation. The new album will probably not be Sgt Pepper, but i think we can live with it and still enjoy it. Peace and Love and Live Forever.
Btw, put any song beetwen Rock N Roll Star, Morning Glory and Dyou Know What I Mean and i guarantee you, it will sound average. That's why i thought it may not be the best idea to play the new stuff along with Oasis classics before the release.

I don't know what the fuck all these haters are going on about? I've listened back to all the new tunes and they sound amazing! The album versions will be great, even better.
I do think it's strange that he played so many new songs though but awesome stuff from Liam. I'm just waiting for all the songs to end up on YouTube so I can have a proper listen again.

Also gotta remember studio versions are so so so sooooo different. You can't have an opinion before you've listened to the album.
Yeah wall of glass is going to be huge I reckon, such a good tune.

I don't know.... I'm pumped as FUCK about the new songs... and I was maybe a fan of only two beady eye songs ever....
Think he sounds better than he's sounded for a long fucking time. He's 44 years old! Smokes and drinks like a champ, strains vocally in his singing stance..... the fact he can sound as good as how he did tonight is all great news for us!!!

Just listened to Bold...is it me, or did that sound really fucking good? Liam actually sounded GOOD. Proper, actual, genuine GOOD. Drums sounded great. Catchy. Look forward to that one.
