However, what made them classics in the first place is Liam. So it's fair game. Liam can write a very good song. He just hasn't got great choruses in him. But he smashed it out of the park tonight from what I saw so hopefully we'll all be pleased come October! sure liam sang those songs great. but if noel didn't write them there is nothing to sing. surely that isn't up for debate. |

Haven't heard anything but I'm happy he played more than a couple of new songs and of course that he played some old classics.
From what I've read, you guys are happy with the vocals so that's good news.
Oh and on the Oasis subject: Oasis is Noel and Liam, Liam and Noel. Simples. Add to it Bonehead and Guigs aswell. But both brothers were as important as each other.
Noel had the songs, Liam the voice.

It's a quickly set up gig to benefit what just happened in Manchester and people in here, who weren't even there, are moaning about set length. Can you not see the reason an acapella "Live Forever" was the choice to end on? Liam said before the gig: "But songs like Live Forever are going to be tough ones to sing on Tuesday." There's some added poignancy to it. This right here yes..... some people are never fucking happy.... this was Manchester!!! Everyone there had an amazing time while some of you fools are sat on your computer on this forum complaining. HA. Losers. |

Its his, he is making it! Come on guys, Champagne supernova, when noel sings it, it puts people to sleep, but in that moment Liam went in that studio (glad it was filmed) and sung it, it became classic. Hes special. Noel is a great songwriter but he would not be as good on his own or with an average singer... |

Liam's voice is sounding great, he's finishing his lines, much more of a performance than DOYS gig I went to. Loved the DYKWIM arrangement, and so happy to see the tambourine back. Liam not doing quite as much as the annoying step back step forward after every line which is good to see. I kinda wish we had a chance to hear the new stuff before the gig so the crowd weren't as quiet when they were being played. Would have been better for his confidence to see the crowd jumping and singing along. A pretty good 9 I reckon for tonight.

Wall of Glass is an absolute belter live, really cool new material. Very energetic, fits perfectly for Liam.
