What do you think of this song? I often find it completely forget about this tune unless it comes on shuffle on my ipod. It's a decent little tune I think but it also lacks that something which causes it to be almost forgettable in a way. It doesn't help that it wasn't even the best b-side on the single, let alone during that period when we even had Talk Tonight just before it as a better Noel sung b-side.

When I first started getting into the band it was a near insta-skip. But over time little bits of the song would stick with me. At first it was the strumming pattern, then the way the guitars sounded. Over time it's grown onto me to be a favourite.

For me this is the first time noel proved he was capable of writing a tune that wasn't magnificent.
The most forgetable 90s oasis song I think, by a long way. Stands out like a sore thumb amongst the other MG era songs.

Love the sound of the guitars, use of the tambourine and the general rhythm of the song. Also I think the verse is pretty great. Rest is a bit meh but I do like it

It's just a throwaway b-side recorded to fill 4 songs onto the "Roll with it" single, Noel didn't even bother to record it with a full band, it's really lackluster & forgettable. As Gas Panic said, it was the worst Oasis song to date (arguably the dullest of their entire officially-released output, indeed); even acoustic b-sides like "Take me away" or "D'yer wanna be a spaceman?" are good songs.
I think Noel only played it live three times, I wonder why since there were so many greater songs he could have played in his acoustic set. "It's better people" was sandwiched between "Whatever" & "Wonderwall", two brilliant singles, must've looked paltry in comparison; why not play "Slide away" instead?
It's not a bad song actually, just boring, the sparkle never comes.

I think it's a nice b-side. I do love the outro, with the mellotron in the background. The verses are quite good, definitely better than the chorus. I like it.

It's a song I've come to love in recent years. I've always liked it in a harmless, inoffensive, upbeat acoustic kind of way. But since the MG reissue came out, I heard it like never before. I love the bounce, the rolling bass licks, the percussion, strumming, and summery feel. It also feels just like a 90s Noel acoustic song...which I realize doesn't make a lot of sense but its so classically 90s Oasis acoustic that it's hard not to enjoy it now. Great foot tapper.

I've liked it better since I learnt how to play it.
Hard strumming pattern like. Usually have to slow it down some.

Definitely the weakest B-Side from the 90's for me,
It's ok, it's just very meh,
Passes by without really doing anything

Reminds me of the summer of 1995, therefore I love it.

I like this song. It's a happy clappy camp fire kind of tune, very different from everything else in the 90's Oasis era.
And far better than a lot of the stuff that Noel would write post 2000.

I like the beginning, it's quite catchy and peculiar, but I've always found the song a bit boring and repetitive. It doesn't evolve.

Kind of has the style of She Is Love. I don't really like it

It's funny you wrote this thread on the day I thought "Ugh I hate that song, I'll just delete it".

Reminds me of the summer of 1995, therefore I love it. Funny, this is probably why I love it too. I was 14 then and everything Oasis released was gold to me and still is. I've always been a fan of Noel's voice too so that probably helped as well.

Utterly forgettable. As already pointed out, it was the worst song released up until that point. It's bland and goes nowhere, I really don't know what Noel heard in it back then when every other song he wrote was either good, great or brilliant.
