I dont know if this has been brought up on here since im new and im sorry if it has. My thought was what do you think Liams reason is for wanting to do the Be Here Now songs on his upcoming solo tour? (If you believe the rumors and what he has been posting) Do you think he is so thought out that he knows Noel is not a fan of that album and that is his reason or just because he likes them and they never toured them in heavy rotation other then the one tour? I feel those songs will fit his voice better then alot of the other Oasis songs would now. It could just be because of the anniversary of the album but who knows. Any of you have a thought on this? I really think he really wants to prove to the world he has still got it because if this goes bad it will crush him. Im excited and scared for him all at the same time!

I think that he needs to perform some songs that they rarely played before and a frew Oasis classics (like Live Forever, Champagne Supernova or Cigarettes and Alcohol) to make all the fans hyped again. I think its pretty clear that there wont be a new album before the festival season, our best hope is that he will play some new songs there.

Do you think he would open with that? I could see him coming out and doing Be Here Now to start his sets. They fans would go crazy and feel like they were 15 years younger. Like i have said before i really really hope his voice is ok with having this much time off.

I agree if they drop them a little he should be fine. We all know he won't be amazing like say the Gmex show from that tour but he can pull it off if he really try's. I just feel he has something to prove and he started sounding pretty good at the end of the Beady Eye run. What scares me is he always had Noel to help his voice even and without that a lot of his vocal issues will not be hidden as much

I think its clear that they've sat down and said, right what can we do on our tour that Noel isnt doing. What will be the unique selling point of going to see Liam rather than Noel.
Lets face it if he just did Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Supersonic, then we would be getting nothing Noel hasnt done for years since the split.
He's doing Be Here Now songs because Noel wont and it's obvious theres still a big fan interest in those songs. This isnt because Liam loves Be Here Now. He has said he does in interviews over the past but thats just because Noel doesnt. I bet he had to learn the words again for all the songs off that album.

We are on the same page then with this. If you were putting the setlist together for him what would you have him open with or what would you like to hear? I was always a big fan of starting with Go Let It Out but or since Be Here Now has been a theme id like to see him open with that

He should open with Hello on his tour. "Said it's good to be back!!" that would be killer!

I'd absolutely love him to incorporate a lot of Be Here Now, not only is liamgallagher1992 right in that it would separate him from Noel nicely, it would also be a great message to send out that he knows how class that album was. DYKWIM, My Big Mouth, Be Here Now, and All Around the World would all work great.

Id love to hear him throw in something like Gas Panic off of the SOTSOF album. No matter what he does im sure it will be killer. Maybe he will have learned to take care of his voice because he starts a tour strong but fades fast and without Noel to back up his vocals he will need to give it his all. I have said it before I cant wait to hear his new music but i want alot of Oasis because i never got to see Oasis i discovered them at the end of 2009. Here in America I thought they were just a pop/teen band because all you would hear is Wonderwall and once i found their other music i was hooked.

I'd like to see him play Headshrinker, Columbia, Bring it on Down, D'you Know What I Mean and Be Here Now. Up in the Sky would also be great.
Anyway, I think he should play the bangers from Oasis, the most punk songs, if you will.

It annoys me that they chose My Big Mouth for the DOYS tour and it went down like a led balloon because it was full of Wonderwall type fans who didnt have a clue what it was and basically would have just confirmed Noel's theory on BHN. Stand By Me is actually one of the most popular Oasis songs.

Hope they do a fast version of Supersonic like this one, tghey played it quite near to the original pace on the last Oasis tour and even at the beginning when Liam was on form it didn't sound right, so I hope they speed and rock it up like this
In terms of obscure songs, I'd love to Guess God Thinks I'm Abel done like this version (Obviously with less coked out vocals) the instrumentation is brilliant and it's one of Liam's best and as a bonus easiest songs to sing imo.
(1:15:20) if the link doesnt work properly

I think it would be awesome to hear something like Keep The Dream Alive. I dont get why they never played it on tour because its a song i know tons of people love off of that album (Maybe Noel didnt like the thought of doing it because it was a song wrote by Andy)

I'm a million miles away from even being an average singer but I can just about manage most of the Liam sung songs in the Oasis catalog without cracking or running out of breath. Keep The Dream Alive is reasonably easy to sing through the verses, the chorus is hard though imo. I bet Liam could've sung it, but probably not well, so I understand why they never played that song live.
I'm sure loads of you on here play guitar, try learning Keep The Dream ALive, the chorus is a right bastard to sing!

What are the chances of him playing some Beady Eye songs? Shine a Light is a good live track and Wigwam is great as well.

Not sure if he will try and pretend that never happened or not. I have heard people see it both ways. If he does I do t see him doing more then 1 or 2 of them max
