Every time this comes up on shuffle on Spotify I'm amazed by how great it actually is. I mean, it's a mainstream poprock ballad by an American Idol winner. It shouldn't be possible.

A lot of Bee Gees, The Carpenters and Abba stuff.
Softcell-Tainted Love Nik Kershaw-The Riddle Wilson Philips-Hold On Backstreet Boys-I want it that way (come to think of it, there are a few others) Britney Spears-Toxic
However, I don't feel guilty for liking this.
There's probably more, but I'm not sure what falls under "guilty pleasures" and what doesn't fall under that.

Maybe it's when you like songs made by loathsome human beings? In that case, Ted Nugent would fall into that category for me.

A lot of Bee Gees, The Carpenters and Abba stuff. Bee Gees don't rank in guilty pleasures, they had an amazing gift for crafting beautiful songs throughout 15 years. They got derided during the "disco sucks" backlash because they epitomized disco, but their repertoire is much superior to so many bands who released only two or three memorable albums. One of the greatest pop bands of the 70's.

Justified by Donnie Darko. Their album "Songs From The Big Chair" was a great album. Their first two albums are among the best of the 80s easily. 'The Working Hour' is one of the best songs of the 80s.

One of the greatest pop bands of the 70's. I agree (obviously) and I just LOVE their 60s stuff, but I often hear their disco stuff being squeezed in between guilty pleasures on those kind of shows and at parties. I'm a bit out of the loop on thay stuff though. I'm not always sure what actually falls under the banner of "guilty pleasure" and what doesn't.

Oh loads. I like 'classic' pop as much as most so it's hard to know what to and what not to include. I'll just post these for now...

All of Bee Gees disco era. As well as their post-disco pop, especially during the 90's. Musical geniuses the lot of them.

I don't think I've got any guilty pleasures in terms of music [at least I don't feel guilty about any of it]. Don't see any reason why I should feel bad just for liking certain music I know that I'd be heavily judged in certain circles for my tastes including Robbie Williams, Take That, MIKA, Natalie Imbruglia (and even Oasis, Kasabian, Fatboy Slim + The Prodigy are frowned upon by a number of people), but it doesn't matter* *Couldn't think how to finish that sentence, but listening to Dig Your Own Hole at the moment, and just at that point It Doesn't Matter was playing so thought why not...
