I like his voice on the whole but recently he's been trying to sound like Bob Dylan too much. Which is unnecessary and not a good thing.

He absolutely has a much more solid voice than 90s, and yet I can't stand his singing now. Why does he end up adopting some American country singer style and sound so fake. Isn't singing about delivering the right emotion encapsulated in a song as a whole. Voice/techniques should serve that purpose not jeopardizing it. If Noel thinks he's getting better because he can do all that unnecessary little tricks, he's under some serious delusion. this. can't stand what he does with his mouth as well. looks and sounds sometimes like a fucking american country singer. i prefer young noel any day of the week. he was way angrier and louder and more into it. maybe it was the cocaine, maybe he didn't give a fuck. nowadays he butchers champagne supernova with his housewife acoustic rendition of a song that once was the highlight of every oasis gig with his improvised 8 minutes outro. and don't get me started with dlbia. booooooooooooring and slooooooooow.

I need to be myself/I can't be no one else... Ironically he still sings these lines but I can't feel it anymore. guess that's what Liam's saying in Supersonic premiere, "I miss the Noel in the film. That's the Noel I know."

Yeah he's holding onto his vocal power really well but not really digging the rest of his vocal performance and it's been that way since about 2005. But he can't sing like he did at 30 when he's 50 so I'll definitely take it. The only thing that annoys me is the shit way he sings Wonderwall.

Noel peaked as a singer in about 2009/10 in my opinion.
His voice has got a little boring since HFB, it lacks the edge that we got towards the end of oasis.

I don't see anything wrong with that performance. I'm not a huge fan of his voice but he seems to be singing well to me. A few people have mentioned the way that he sings has been changing, a bit of a guess but I thought he may have been changing his approach to singing because of age and wear. If that's the case and I was a Noel fan I'd be happy he was still at that level at all.

Noel sings pretty well for a 50 year old who has been smoking for the biggest part of his life and for someone who's done drugs. He still has quite a bit of power in his voice and a good range. He also doesn't go flat often.
What you usually see with singers is that their singing becomes gradually worse over the years and sometimes their voice changes completely. Noel's singing (his voice is still pretty much the same) has improved over the years up until somewhere in the 2000s.
That's at least one artist I can go see live without having to cringe at attempts to reach high notes or dumbed down songs (Before anyone is going to be witty and attack me: not talking about Liam. Was thinking more along the lines of older artists such as Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson)
However, I can't stand that half baked "American" thing either. Don't know why he does that. Doesn't have anything to do with his voice itself though.

Where does he sound like Bob Dylan or with an american accent? I never noticed it. Not so much Dylan but he definitely sings with an american twang these days at times. Listen to that video posted, the way he sings "Half The World Away" is very American. No English man pronounces "half" like that. He also sounds more American in other parts of the song too. He definitely does it in other songs too, no idea why. Obviously lost his roots. He's a tory mimicking a man from Nashville now.
