In fact I can't call it "Rock" history, but to me, it's the moment when the Pistols signed for a record deal at the front of Buckingham Palace. "Hello EMI, Good bye A&M".
OP how did you forget Knebworth? And I'm talking about Oasis, not Robbie Williams.
Stone Roses - Spike Island
Interestingly, that's actually one of the biggest myths in rock music history. Spike Island, by all accounts, was a terrible gig. Noel himself said so in that the sound was lost in the high winds coming off the Mersey, the band themselves were uninterested and John Harris's account of the crowd and general atmosphere is pretty disparaging to say the least.

Yeah I've heard the same. I decided to mention it since it was probably the biggest event in Madchester scene.
Not sure if this is only for live moments but Nick McCabe's guitar skyrocketing through the atomsphere at the 1:35 mark of 'Star Sail' blew me away the first time I heard it. Didn't even know a guitar could sound like that.
Also, this moment is basically stretched out by 6 minutes on 'Reprise'. Unreal guitar work.
"It's a bit early in the midnight hour for me, to go through all the things I wanna be. I don't believe in everything I see, you know I'm blind so why d'you disagree?"

Yeah it was about getting high and enjoying BEING THERE. As Noel said, the Stone Roses didn't have to play a note. It's similar to Oasis at Knebwroth; many people were there because it was a historic moment.

And I just wanna add Blur at Hyde Park...
Still sounds pretty shite to be honest. If the music ain't there, neither is the greatness.

themasterplanet: A Northern Soul by The Verve! My second favourite album by them. I love the atmosphere of it, it’s very dreamy and melancholic and dark. It holds many memories for me and I think that’s partly responsible for why I love it so much.

Bring It On Dan: I have so much shit on an old hard drive somewhere but I just cannot find it. Nothing 'out there' but probably 200 gigs or so. I can't remember the name of the site that had all the gigs listed and sources for loads of gigs next to it? I remember RKID 003.

mimmihopps: Bring It On Dan, it must be sadsong.net. I don't know if the site still exists.
