dont know much about complexity but gas panic and fuckin in the bushes stands out for me along with the turning SOL and falling down and flick of the finger but what do i know FUCK all thats what i mean i really like little james the melody and music on that song is alright by me

I struggle to think of any really complex Oasis song. That's not a bad thing though.

Yeah, I can't really think of any structure-wise complex Oasis song. That's not bad, that's not good, it is what it is. It's Noel's way of doing music and that's fine.
Music-wise, however, thinking of layers, production and instrumentation, SOTSOG and DOYS stand out by quite a mile, especially the former I'd say. They're quite interesting sonically and songs like Gas Panic!, Where Did It All Go Wrong and Falling Down have some of the best Oasis' instrumental work.

I agree about the complexity of SOTSOG and DOYS. A real shame they never built on SOTSOG for the following album. Someone on this forum mentioned the bassline of cast no shadow recently, so I've been listening to it a lot. Sadly a song which gets overlooked

The song has 2 basslines, though. IIRC the main (and much simpler) one was played by Guigsy and the second part was Noel's work.

you know whats kinda complex? trying to play and sing "i hope i think i know" at the same time at its original tempo and rhythm.
edit: to be honest...only the verses really. rest is pretty easy
