As the title says, what are your thoughts?
Probably Foo Fighters and Coldplay. Maybe U2.

I was thinking of this today and U2 came to mind. Hard to believe they've had the same lineup since 1980. That's pretty incredible.

Also, I thought the Foo Fighters were on hiatus?

Also, I thought the Foo Fighters were on hiatus? Probaably because of Hawkins's solo project.

Manic Street Preachers. If they could survive losing a important member and still carry on for 20+ more years they can do anything. 12 studio albums and their progression shows that.

Sigur Ros - their music doesn't owe itself to any 'fads' or 'fashion' so I expect them to continue with their epic sounds for years to come.

keane I reckon.
while its ok, Im not really understanding the purpose of tom chaplins solo album, its keane without the keyboard tbh which makes me question why even bother going solo, Noel I can understand because hes the creator lost in the mix and maybe felt he had to stick to a certain sound within oasis but tom was the front of the band anyway as well as a songwriter, same goes for brandon flowers.
if your going to go solo, do something different to justify the change,if your going to create music thats just the same without some of the trademark things of your previous band then its just a waste of time.
I totally get someone going solo because they want to try something thats out there and it might not gel with bands fans but this just seems like they want to have all the credit to themselves rather than wanting to do something different.

Actually it was Tim Rice-Oxley who wrote most of the songs in Keane, so a Tom Chaplin solo album was a new venture in the same way that a Liam solo album will be. But I agree with you that Tom's album was woefully unadventurous - it was basically a watered-down version of Keane, and that says a lot considering that many people consider Keane bland!

When I first heard Keane I thought they sounded like Coldplay, but without any guitars, which isn't really surprising since they have connections.
