I haven't found any clips of The Right Stuff being played live, meaning it most probably hasn't ever been done..not even acoustically.
Is there any chance he'll ever play it live? Its such a great song, it would be a pity if we never get to hear it live. Easily the best song on his solo albums imo.

no, I believe he stated that it just wouldnt be something he could do live, he also said about trying girl with the x ray eyes and while the song remains the same but didnt work, right stuff just isnt something that couldnt work live imo, its a fairly basic track that relies on the studio effects to give it its atmosphere.
tbh if Noel didnt play it on the CY tour then hes even less likely to do it in the future, its not a single and most album tracks get played on one tour then get dropped in subsequent tours.
I dont really see that much in that song tbh, I see it as a filler track, I think while the song remains the same is the track he shouldve attempted, dont really see why that song is any harder to play than BOTMI.

NGHFB songs on his next tour: Everybody's on the Run AKA... What a Life Riverman In the Heat of the Moment Lock All the Doors 5 new songs 10 Oasis songs

seem to remember Noel saying that he was going to cut down the oasis tracks on the 2nd tour due to having more solo material to make up a full setlist, didnt really happen did it?
bout 10 on the first tour, 7 on the second roughly, he swapped out mainly tracks from the first album for CY tracks rather than ditching the oasis stuff, guess the oasis stuff just sells the tickets.

I dont get how people don't like The right stuff, it's different and by different i mean it's up there with top class bands and moving away from the typical Noel sound..which I also like. To each his own i guess

To each his own i guess BOTMI is what I consider a good move away from the typical Noel sound, its more modern and still retains a nice melody and generally a solid kick to it, need more of that, right stuff is just boring album filler to me, the only bit I can say I like is the "when my heart gets shattered and my jeans get frayed" which isnt one of his best lyrics. I respect the more "out there" sound of it but its just not a very memorable song imo, doesnt go anywhere "youuu and I got the right stuuuuff" x10.

Why should Noel go away from his own sound? That is the sound I like from him, especially when it's done the right way.

I find this song to be hugely overrated. Maybe I have a different understanding about what "out there" sounds like, but to me this isn't it.
I also can't imagine it sounding interesting in a live setting.

Yes, he should have played, it at least once. But, well, he rather played four of his worst ever songs: In The Heat of The Moment, Do The Damage, The Mexican and Ballad of The Mighty I.

the odds of it being played live are probably about the same as the odds of getting a snow storm in the middle of july.

Absolutely amazing song. Shame Noel never will play it live. And it's not like he can't or anything, just get a proper band to reproduce the sound and voila. Check some Sigur Rós lives, would you?

I don't expect he'd play it live (though I remember some of us hoping when it was announced Noel would play the Montreal Jazz Festival I think it was), but I think it would be pretty exciting to hear the band play around with the song during a soundcheck. I think they could make a good live jam out of it, make it something different from its album incarnation, which I do love.

I just want to hear more of alone on the rope, the death of you and me and the right stuff kind of songs.
If he never plays TRS live then fuck it. The album version is brilliant.
