Setting up this thread as it looks like it is closer than we all think - thanks bastardnumber1 for your interview and info. If magazine stories are being timed for February, and festivals are being booked for June, it is looking likely like the single could be January/February and the album in late Springs. Start your speculation engines....

I hope he works with Dave Sitek again, but hopefully with a better batch of songs.

Anything on the same level as OATNE, BOADC and Evil Eye, and I'll be happy.

I just hope he doesnt sound so thin on this new record, I like evil eye but his voice is kind of grating to me, I just dont think they really got Liam at his best on that record, he sang start anew and SBOTA much better on that oui FM performance.

New? A few I guess. But I think it brought back memories for a lot of the non-hardcore fans that they were not just those idiots who sang Wonderwall.

I think so! My girlfriend for example was pleasantly surprised. I think a few people would have walked away without their stereo typical view they went in with

Has anybody considered the idea that Noel could be a possible ghost writer for Liams solo album?
If you think about it Noel clearly doesn't want another critical and commercial flop from Liam. All that another under par Liam album would do is piss on the oasis legacy, and I'm sure Noel has a lot of spare songs, many of which he may have written with Liam in mind.
If this album comes out and has 10-12 great tracks and is supposedly all Liam written I will be very suspicious as even the biggest oasis/Liam fans will agree that he is far from a consistent songwriter.
I'm dying to hear the debut single.

If Noel gets the credits writing tunes for Liam's album, what would be the point ? It would be the worst thing for Liam.
