bastardnumber1If there is a chance you could ask another question to Liam some day: does he know about the instrumental that replaced Trip Inside on the Be Here Now reissue?

I get the vibe on here people are thinking this effort so far is much more out there and taking shape, having learnt from BE. I think we're yet to see that. Hopefully it will be publicly out there and in everyone's faces. So far most of what we've seen has been thanks to a forum member. Plenty of time yet but we can't forget that the BE promo stuff was actually really good. All the mini gigs, new slang Kingston for example, a great buzz, decent enough album writecups (7/10 mark), a decent album, appearance on The Voice, radio interviews, performance on Alan Carr etc.
I think everyone in the band and on here expected better results. Yes the whole love child thing come up but no publicity is bad publicity, if anything it kept Liam in the public eye. Not putting a downer on it hopefully we see that effort again plus more and with a decent album and the Liam name, it'll prove better results.

Agree with most of that, although Gem getting himself injured and key performance cancellations, whilst keeping them (briefly) in the news did them no favours in terms of reaching people- the latter felt very reminiscent of certain Oasis periods to me.

Gem's injuries really stopped them building momentum.

Good shout on Gem. Think in the UK that meant not performing V, but didn't effect any other big U.K. shows much? Definitely a shame but would that have made the difference from the pretty abysmal BE success to accelerating it to where we wanted/expected it? Probably not. Coachella etc definitely a shame too but I'm relating more to the UK success. I don't think anything else would have got them to where they wanted to be unfortunately. Playing V may have just damaged it more, I don't think the T in the Park performance did them many favours.

Dear joladella It's for visions but they delayed it to march I think. And I haven't got anything yet. But I'll be in London the next days and will get some more news on Liam.

I was about to end with "Kind regards", or maybe, more fitting, "Liebe Grüße", or even, oh yeah, "lg"! Just felt rude to just tag you as you have been such a fountain of information to us poor, information starved and hungry fans.

Sehr geehrte Frau joladella There´s no problem with tagging me, I would do the same. The problem is I don´t know a lot more than anyone else at the moment. Just a few dates and songs so far. I´m disappointed that there are not more concert dates announced yet but I guess this is in the hands of the festivals. First official announcements for Liams music (and his tour) I guess will be out end of the month. At least a few hints. But as I said I will know a little more (at least regarding the tour) the next few days. Everything I know and I´m allowed to tell will be posted here. Mit freundlichen Grüßen

It would just be lovely if that delivery, that we some of us so desperately are awaiting, would finally open his mouth - or twitter account - and talk to us! Hochachtungsvoll

I dont think they would announce festival shows or more concert dates when Liam hasnt even announced his record yet, I think it would be odd to have loads of stuff announced when theres nothing official yet to say hes actually coming back in the near future besides the talk of him releasing something in 2017, his record and subsequent tour is still up in the air at the moment as far as we know, they could be still moving things around etc.
it could also be a simple case of Liam not doing many festival shows or the main announced acts were put in place ages ago before Liam signed with warner bros, beady eye only managed a surprise show at glastonbury as again they clearly missed the time frame to be apart of the announced show by a long shot when they only came back with BE in june of 2013.
I think weve only got 1 confirmed show for june which probably was a mistake and shouldnt of been announced yet and the other one in march / april time was said to be false which could be because his management is trying to keep it under wraps until theyve have announced the album and upcoming tour.
Noel didnt announce any concert dates until CY was announced, its the process.

I'm sure he will be announced for more soon. bastardnumber1 seems to think the gig in March is going ahead as well. I just want some tease to be posted or something, the amount of times I refresh this forum a day is mental.

Yeah of course there will be an album announced before a tour announcement. But festivals announce their acts every day now all over europe and the acts don´t need to have a new album out.

I wasnt aware of the two festival shows, must of missed that. oh yea of course the acts dont need to have a new album but Liam is abit different as hes not doing anything as of yet and is not actively doing anything else, its not like hes been touring oasis hits for the past two years and is just carrying on with that, he is starting out on something completely new that we hardly know anything about as of yet, I mean Im assuming hes touring under the name "liam gallagher" and using a backing band to do the job aka robbie williams rather than starting a high flying birds type thing. my point is that its not just his album he needs to announce, its the whole package of what hes going to be doing, his act doesnt really even exist at the moment, anything related to it is mostly passing comments and some conflicting comments from Liam himself.

Any little info on his band members? We've been asked this a lot on our Oasis websites/fanpages.

Look like the record will be released in march at the earliest now. That would be crazy early for a Gallagher brother. So many wheels have got to be moving to pull that off. It's already mid January and there is no traction yet.

I would love to hear something earlier but maybe they will built it up in february and march with website and teaser and then april single.
