I just hope Liam follows through with this setlist stuff and makes Noel look like a beige carpet then Noel might step up his game. Noel already did look like a beige carpet on the last tour.... As much as I love them. Fucking boring concert.

As much as I love them. Fucking boring concert. oh yea totally but beige looks less beige when its on its own and theres no reason to do anything with it if no-one else is making it look bland but if Liam rolls out his josephs technicolor door mat then Noels going to be looking like the beigeiest beige to ever beige. plus if Liam gets a good reaction out of more obscure tracks it might give Noel cause to be abit ambitious than fall back on the classic "well no-ones enjoying this track so Ill just play whatever again", when really it boils down to Noel playing the wrong types of obscure tracks, course idlers dream is gonna tank, how can a live crowd get into slow song like that?

Were the Liam songs better than some of the best Oasis songs?

Thank you so much bastardnumber1 , amazing work ! Did he say anything about who's producing the record? Also you mentioned that you guys took cigarette and beer breaks, but did he mention that he would stop drinking like he did with the first Beady Eye album, or even try to stop smoking? I understand if you can't answer every question now, but it's all so exciting !

Great news about songs actually sounding fully finished. Around the release of Supersonic Liam was telling people that the album was not even close to being finished wasn't he?
Also brilliant to hear that he's going to alternate the setlist for the gigs and throw in BHN tunes.
If songs are ready to go who's to say we won't get the debut single as a surprise Christmas present?! Exciting times ahead!

Exciting times ahead! yes sir, think he said they hadnt started recording yet, just demoing but he also said earlier in the day that he was working with great people but then retracted that later by saying he was doing it all himself so he couldve been doing something at the point and just didnt want to elaborate too much into it or things were only just progressing into the studio at that point. BE started recording in november and went through until march I believe which must of been including fully mixing the tracks as flick was out in april so its possible he went into the studio in november sometime and has got a couple done already, he must be getting on with it if hes already got fully mixed tracks. he did say he wanted it recorded this year and put out next year so if the things were properly in place to make that happen then its possible that it will be done by the end of the year with a new single in january to get ready for a march / april release but I guess we will see.

bastardnumber1 said that we will hear something sooner than we think and that something is close so I'm guessing we may get something in January potentially.

^Probably the first time that I don't hope that it will leak. It will probably leak a few days before the release date, but didn't Heathen Chemistry leak in January 2002?

You definitely should write an Oasis guide.

Sorry guys but I was and am quite busy with work so I took a day off from laptops or phones yesterday (nearly ). For the questions. Sorry but I can't say anything for now about titles or production. It won't be too long that there will be official information about it. But no not in 2016. What else was asked. Yeah he still smokes and I didn't ask about it tbh. Don't think it's my place to judge him or anyone else. He's a big boy so he knows what he did or does I guess. He simply couldn't remember a lot about the Real People recordings. About the DIV sessions just have some patience

I want Liam to do as well as possible musically, so it was interesting to maybe learn how he takes care (or doesn't take care) of his voice at the moment. I understand why you didn't ask about it. Thanks again, the work you have done and dedication you have shown is impressive and much appreciated !

Will he bring back his tambourine? Or will he stick with the towel? Or will he come back with an entirely new stage prop?

Okay as writing this all together takes more than a few minutes and it probably isn´t that interesting for you to read that we had beers or cigarette breaks I cut it to the questions posted here for right now. Maybe I have written it all down tonight or maybe it takes longer. It was for a german music mag. The interview will be released beginning of February (I´ll post it then). Not sure what exactly they release because the actual interviewer was a complete idiot and I have no idea why he did the thing. But I guess they will put in some of my stuff too as it was a lot more informative and entertaining I think DM related stuff: He remembers doing the Blackpool Roadshow thing but he has no knowledge if this was ever shown and also doesn´t know who could have the recording. Real People recording he also couldn´t say a lot about but he will give my contact details to them to maybe get an interview with them (would need some help from davidjay if this really happens). MG related stuff: I asked if there is any more hidden stuff like his Sad Song version in Supersonic, like a version of him singing DLBIA. He says that he did a take on every MG album song so also on DLBIA and Step Out, has no clue though if still existing. He thinks he wasn´t doing any DM Noel songs but then again he also couldn´t remember doing Sad Song so who knows. His answer about Hanging On The Telephone by Blondie was "fuck no, never ever" BHN/Chasing The Sun project: He wasn´t involved in any of it. He likes the DYKWIM rethink and thinks Noel should have done the whole album. As BHN is one of my favorite eras but it´s not as covered as DM/MG I asked him for some stories from back then about recording and touring and he had some hilarious stories which I will post then in the full thing. About having contact with ex members: Bonehead regularly, Guigsy not a lot but there is still contact, Whitey nothing, Tony nothing until the Supersonic premiere, Gem and Andy not a lot, Noel... About any future Oasis releases: None of his business but he actually thought they would do a Knebworth release shortly after Supersonic as there was some serious talk about it. "Maybe next year or for it´s 30th" DIV sessions: He thinks they did a great job back then but Noel sacked them. Maybe I get more information on this in january Show Me Your Love: Actually I had to play it for him on my phone ´cause he couldn´t remember it. But he says they all had a pretty good outcome of songs at that time. Even though some of them were shit they recorded a lot of stuff back then. So if there ever will be a re-issue we could get a lot of unheard stuff. Beady Eye: He thinks it was the right time to do after the split but thinks they were lacking of great songs. He broke up then because in his eyes it wasn´t going anywhere but he enjoyed those few years and wishes the others good luck. His new stuff: I heard 3 songs and they were great. A lot darker than expected, the bass is really outstanding on one song. His voice sounded great, no of course not the 90s voice but it fits perfectly for those songs. I asked him if all songs will be like that and he said there will also be rockier and mellow songs but mostly they all have the same vibe. I´m sorry that I can´t describe it better, I never was good with that and I can´t tell any lyrics but I think it will bring him back to where he belongs as he really did a great job with it and clearly had more than one thought about it. Can´t say anything when we will hear it but it will be sooner than expected. Live he will also do Oasis and a couple of Beady Eye songs. As I wrote yesterday he is also thinking about BHN and also songs not played all the time (LISTEN UP!!!!). He wants to have a pool of songs rehearsed and vary the setlists which I commented with a "thank fuck, finally" He understood what I meant About who records with him and who tours with him I am not allowed to say anything for now. I´m sorry about that, I know it´s disappointing but I can´t change it. I just can say that this was one of the best experiences in my whole life. Not just ´cause it´s LG but because it was a huge pleasure to listen to him. Not fake or anything, one moment you can clearly see that he is moved when he talks about Bonehead and Guigsy leaving the band the other moment he sings over Don´t Let Me Down which plays in the backround, saying we should carry on before he starts dancing on the table Telling stories about being wasted and not even realising playing infront of a crowd but also talking about knowing that he wasn´t the easiest guy to work with. PS: As I said the whole thing I will post when it´s done. Pictures were done which I will get next week and the recording I hope before christmas to upload what allowed. Sorry for making people wait but if I would have written this all in once now you wouldn´t get anything today I guess THIS.

If you had to compare Liam's vocals on these new songs to another Beady Eye/Oasis album, which would you say?

i'd nearly forgotten about this thread. fantastic read bastardnumber1 , well done. sadly, it seems as if he's all but abandoned 'show me your love'. what a shame. maybe it was meant only for the dbtt era, and not at all where he's 'at' musically nowadays.

...by the way bastardnumber1 .... did he confirm if 'show me your love' was in fact the proper title of that song? did it even have a title? i can only imagine the expression on his face when you played it to him on your phone... 'oh yeah, THAT one' . priceless.

Oa Honestly, HC days I would say. SCYHO or BOADC didn´t sound better or worse. Don´t know how much there was done with his voice back then and now of course. But I think his voice at the moment is in good shape. Will atleast upload the singing over Beatles songs they recorded before christmas and you can see yourself, don´t think it´s worse recorded than the singing at the pub last year or whenever it was but his voice sounds a lot better. idledreamer He had no name for it but he thought Show Me Your Love would fit
