Gordon Smart is a Sun journalist which tells us that he shouldn't be trusted - Liam's already had run ins with him in the past so he's bound to be out of his inner circle. What has probably happened is that Smart has taken the 'info' off this forum (which spread to other Oasis fan clubs on Twitter who misguidedly jumped on it) and added two and two together to give his radio listeners a 'world exclusive'. To the point that this audacious rumour has now spread like wildfire and it's got Liam pissed off. |

It genuinely wouldn't surprise me if someone working in whatever capacity had actually stumbled across this forum googling (the modern equivalent of 'research' for most media personalities in that type of employment) for news and updates on Liam as part of a wider role. They then report it as gospel which if false they pretend it never happened and move onto the next stories whilst if true they take credit for and claim genuine ITK knowledge. Repeat the above for what I would guess are certainly the bulk if not all celebrity based news stories with 'sources' and you have the modern media. |
