First official single mid March, album following 3 weeks later. Secret gig in march. Cheers edit: official anouncments we get earl feb. I'm much more excited about this news than Noel supporting U2. Don't get me wrong. I'm not on this forum to play stupid Liam vs Noel "debate". I love Oasis, they're one of my 3 life time bands. I love both Gallaghers, I can't "pick" one or another. I'm just happy to hear Liam finally re-start with what he started more than 20 years ago - back to music and this time his music. I think you can be excited about one brothers project more than the other and not be accused of being one of a camp, I personally think people are abit too worried about supporting one more over the other, if you do and its for the right reasons eg preferring the style of music they create then thats ok, everyones entitled to their opinion. your as perfectly entitled to only like one brothers project as much as you are to supporting both, its just the petty reasoning thats the problem. fact is Liam is starting out on something new so theres a bigger element of intrigue and excitement over Noel at the moment who is simply carrying on something hes already started.

Plus we necer had a single handed penned Liam record. NGHFB was new in the sense that he was the first time singing all songs but we knew how he spunds on his songs and that style he kinda settled with during DBTT and we knew single written noel albums too.
But a whole record of liam penned songs is something new after 23 years of gallagher brothers. And in my guess without anyone related to oasis but him (maybe bonehead though) is another new angle that could give him a completely different sound. Cause he always used helping hands finishing his songs that were stuck in the oasis formula.

I find it interesting that richard ashcroft is playing on the album, I can only hope he offered his knack for lyrics as well, that would be fire for Liam. Based on his recent output I hope his influence is limited.

Clearly Noel's songs will be better and Liam will sound like absolute dogshit live, but tbh there's no logic to a grown man's love of Liam Gallagher anyway. It just is. Welcome back, our kid.

I'm so much more excited for Liam's album than Noel's, no idea why. I think 95% of people are, we all no what Noel is gunna do, he's gunna release a solid album but nothing knew. Liam we have absolutely no idea and it's really exciting.

"earlier on today apparently a woman rang the BBC and said she heard that Noel was carrying on with a solid amount of plod, if your watching, dont worry he isnt, having said that actually the sound will become very mid paced" *cue an incredibly regular album with huge amounts of plod*

If it's good, it's good, for me it doesn't have to be space jazz. Have no idea what Liam will do either, just hope it's better than the majority of his material in Oasis and Beady Eye. And I'm also excited about Liam touring again, of course.

I'm just keen for everything. What a year we have ahead of us. Two gallagher albums wow never before has this happened. The media are going to go crazy over it. I'm more keen on Liam news to be honest, I'm a Liam fan more than Noel but of course I'm keen to hear what Noel's album will sound like. Every time something comes up regardless the albums I get so excited, I freaking love it

We get albums of both Gallaghers within a few months and have them touring the same time more or less. After the BHN reissue and Supersonic this is a great time to be an Oasis/Gallagher fan. Just give me a Knebworth release on top of it

I wouldn't put it past Noel to do another Chasing Yesterday, announce the album in October and release it in March 2018.

But I thought he wanted it to be done until Glastonbury so I guessed it will be out in 2017. Then again this is Noel so it might take longer

Chasing Yestersay was finished the day after the World Cup final in 2014 but was released 7/8 months later.

I am too more interested in Liam's solo record than Noel touring with U2. I wont go, first because he will do the same old songs and hits for only half an hour, second, because U2, third, ticket prices, and fourth... stadiums. fuck that. oh and fifth, U2 fans, no thanx. Come On Liam, release a great record and we'll be there for the shows.

If it tanks, we could get a 2017 Noel record. If Liam succeeds, 2018.

Im still putting that down that due to him finishing in july he missed the september window for some strange reason because you probably so called need at least 3 months between announcement and release, he even talked about missing such a window, he just ended up announcing really early for a march release. thats why he needs to be done by glastonbury in june at the latest to give him enough time to get it out by september. I dont really see any reason why he would need to be done by glastonbury if he doesnt have any intention of putting it out until next year unless of course the producer or someone else is moving on to other things and will be busy after june but that wouldnt answer why everything needs to be done, the album, artworks, videos, if it was just one aspect that needed to be completed.

The U2 gigs could mean that he releases something this year and he wants to promote it or he just wants his name to be in the papers without releasing something yet. I´m not interested too much in it at the moment to be honest but either way I think it´s nice that both Gallaghers at least have concerts this summer. But honestly I prefer a Ashcroft/Liam gig to a U2/Noel gig. And for the first one you don´t even need to have some membership to get tickets

What if Oasis reunite and release a double album?
Disc 1 all Noel, Disc 2 all Liam.
Like Outkast did.
