Do you know where to find a new one?
I know that it was a limited edition, but hope I can find one that wasn't used or refurbished.

Dolphin Music£619.99 including VAT with free UK shipping, I'd check with the retailer but there's no mention of these being pre-owned or refurbished on the website as far as I can see

Awful guitar. I don't understand why somebody would buy this. Looks ridiculous. It was great for those two nights at Maine Road but that's it.

Like I said, it lokks great for those two iconic shows at Maine Road, but it's not a beautiful guitar. The same with The Edge's disco guitar in the Discothèque video.

I agree. It'd be a collectors item. I'd feel sorry for anyone who actually played one in public. It'd be a bit sad. You're better off buying a number of other guitars.

I think it's beautiful Sure, it looks a bit over-the-top and a non-fan would probably never play it during a gig, but that's not the point. It's an icon. Few musical instruments are so unique and recognizable even by casual music fans... probably only Brian May's Red Special, Van Halen's Frankenstrat and BB King's Lucille are more iconic than Noel's Union Jack Sheraton. The Edge's Discotheque Les Paul was only a music video prop. It's nowhere as iconic as the Union Jack and you couldn't even play it properly because it was heavy as fuck thanks to its mirror-tiling. I already have a black Sheraton but the Union Jack has been on my "things to buy" list for years. When I'll get one I'll post a ton of pictures just to annoy our dear @tjalke

It's way cheaper than Noel's Gibson es-355. The tone is great, the mini humbuckers are great, the outfit is great, the tail piece is unique, and I always wanted a semi-hollow body guitar. It definitely has a great sound to it.

By brother owns one of the original released versions. It sounds wonderful, but doesn't get played very often due to its collectors status. He actually removes the pick guard when he plays it to avoid scratching off the autograph. ----- This release isn't even marketed as having anything to do with Oasis or Noel.

If Noel didn't want to be involved this time around due to the nineties or whatever past connotations then aside from the names and signature I would assume that the guitar itself in that finish is iconic enough to be recognised from the Oasis glory era, although being a bass guitar collector myself I wouldn't like to guess what the difference in value is between this current issue and the one your brother owns.

The new one is more closely similar to Noel's guitar, but from pure scarcity the older ones (in the Union Jack paint job) are more valuable. The blue colored ones pop up for sale all the time.

The older one is actually the Epiphone Supernova, which was rather inspired by the UJ Sheraton than a real replica. It's actually based on the Riviera as you can tell from the headstock. It's got regular-sized humbucker pickups, it lacks the trapeze tailpiece and the gold hardware and the pickup switch is in a different position. Also, the fretboard inlays are different. And yes, as you say it's more valuable than the recent Sheraton-based replica (which still isn't 100% accurate and doesn't bear Noel's name).

I'd only play it if I was in Oasis cover band or in British mod band (but I'm not a Brit).
But of course I wouldn't mind owning one and play it in my bedroom. Publicly, probably not.

The Union Jack guitar is probably around $600 ~ $1000.
What better guitar can you get for that price?

Hi, sorry to bring up an old thread. I am currently looking to sell my Epiphone Union Jack guitar. Bought it off ebay in 2010. The scratchplate with Noel's signature is 50% faded. And the white finish has inevitably faded to a yellowish tinge.
What is the current market value for it?
