Exactly But the people who ask the questions always seem to be fuckin idiots Come on guys, you really think Liam and the others would have given a proper and honest answer to that? Didn't Noel (the potato master of the Oasis universe himself) say it will be out at around this time? Well...I'm still waiting. And Liam does not really seem to be involved with all that release and rerelease stuff, maybe because his relationship with Ignition soured? So nothing he'd know, I think.

Life in Vain was defintely edited. The one that we have has echo's. The one in the film didn't have. Question to anyone about Life In Vain please, I've got the version on the out the blue studios demo tape, Is that a live version at the boardwalk or live somewhere else ? Is there a studio demo of Life In Vain on any of the leaked demo's like Take Me and other early songs on the first demo tape ?

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. I just couldn't believe how good it was, I mean I know I'd enjoy it because it was about Oasis but it really was brilliant. I was smiling all the way through it like some little kid. Some of it was bloody hilarious, in particular the bit where Liam said that when he received some soppy letter off Noel and said something along the lines of "the soft twat" and just rolled the letter up and did another line of meth with it, I was roaring at that, the whole cinema was come to think of it. There were so many funny lines, Liam had the cinema I was watching it in hysterics throughout, Noel had some great moments as well. I found some of it emotional also, the bits with their Dad got me going a bit.
It was really interesting to see how much the dynamic of the band changed after Noel returned after his disappearance act following the LA gig, he really did become the leader and to be honest I thought Noel came across as a bit of dick in some of the scenes, it did seem to back up what Tony had said in his book.
Highlights for me had to be the opening with Columbia, sounded absolutely epic, made me want to get off my chair and jump around. Liam doing his vocal take of Champagne Supernova was also special, I could of watched that all night, amazing. Sad Song made my jaw drop, was a really nice surprise, I remember just ignoring everything that was being said over it and trying to take it all in.
But yeah, it was all amazing. What a band they were, it'll never ever be repeated.
Can't wait to watch it again now!

I nearly went a couple of times, for a variety of reasons (some of it was definitely nostalgia-induced, but a couple of times I think it was just that sense of euphoria, that the film does a good job of mimicking, as the band reaches Knebworth, that was making me go all soft), but yeah, when they first talked about their dad, and Peggy came on the mic, that effected me more than I ever thought it would. I guess because hers is such a fascinating story anyway, of a young girl coming to a big, frightening city, all on her lonesome, you naturally want her to come out of things alright, as you would any character in a story that you're rooting for. So when she says, "He seemed nice - at first", and you know it's coming... That, and Liam being quite sweet in the voiceovers, calling her an "angel" and saying how he wanted the band to do well so he could buy things for her, gave the old heartstrings a good tug, I can tell you.

Could you please write down what Liam says? Minutes 1:16-1:22 - The young Liam bit. I got the tin of beans thing but I miss the last words. I guess it's from the new documentary "Or how much it costs. Or who you buy it off. Or what till you get it from. Or even whether it's your Spar, your Kwiksave or ... Sainsbury's?" Yes, it's from the new documentary. Thanks a lot. I can foresee lots of headaches here for the official translators who already managed to fuck up the Italian trailer by subtitling "head cases" "e Cases", which in Italian means fuck all ("e" means "and"). They also missed Liam's "in a heartbeat". A real epic fail. I uploaded my own subtitled trailer on YT and subs are correct. I had even tried to apply for the job to no avail. Think I'm gonna bother you a little more for some bits mate, you're so kind and the subtitled stuff is getting many views on YT and social feeds in Italy so we'd better pull it off. Can't wait to see the film at the cinema with proper audio. The Italian premiere is on 7 November. Cheers

They really should do something with Tim Abbot's 20 hours of footage, i mean, whats the point of holding it back now? There won't be another movie about the beginnings of Oasis, and in another 20 years no one will be bothered about the footage that was left over (it obviously isn't as good as the footage they used), so i imagine thats it, and the footage will just stay in his house and remain unseen or whatever.
At least put it as extras on the dvd or something..

Hopefully some tasty stuff will appear in the deleted scenes, maybe even Bonehead’s testicles.

Does the doc talk about tonys firing in depth? Like, touching on Noels doings like Tony described in the book?

Forgot the bit i was laughing at most. The part where they were talking about Noel becoming the leader at the beginning. And it showed the cowboy scene, Noel walking into the saloon looking at the other guys

Does the doc talk about tonys firing in depth? Like, touching on Noels doings like Tony described in the book? They mention his inconsistent drumming. Coyley admits he and the band were probably too hard on him. Tony says one day he snapped and gave Noel a piece of his mind and was sacked shortly after. Noel says that whatever Tony says is probably true. Some people have taken this as confirmation of what Tony says in his book. Personally I think all it confirms is that Noel really couldn't care less about what Tony has to say .

Yes, there was a b/w photo (by Michael Spencer Jones) of Liam and Bonehead at the mic. Think this was in the sequence leading up to the cricket bat fight at Rockfield, ending with Noel and Alan driving off (Noel quoting Alan: "What kind of a band is this - the fuckin' Troggs?!")

Their comments about the band breaking up made me sad, but I believe they've spoken their honest thought.
Can't wait to see it on Sunday again!

Mat Whitecross is just teasing us with all these references to the seven-hour version. "We had all the ‘Be Here Now’ demos, and a section on Noel hanging out with Johnny Depp and Kate Moss in Mustique, and we had an interview with Johnny lined up, but the film was already seven hours long so we dropped it.”

No one, including Liam, remembered recording it. But he had no recollection of any of the footage that was recorded, or pretty much anything that’s happened in the last 20 years.”
hahahaha ffs Liam.

www.musicweek.com/news/read/supersonic-director-mat-whitecross-on-oasis-reunion-it-should-happen/066165There were a couple of conspicuous absentees however, original bassist Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan and second drummer Alan White. Did you approach them about taking part?I haven't met Alan, but I met Guigs a couple of times. That again was a real privilege and I think we came pretty close to getting him to be in the film. He’s got so many great stories, but at the last minute he said, That's part of my old life and I don't really want to revisit it, which is fair enough. But he was very sweet about it. He's exactly as you'd expect from his reputation, a very sweet, lovely guy, but he just considers it part of another life.
